Stars East Perth District Basketball Association (EPDBA) is pleased to advise that Basketball Training former WNBL Perth Lynx Player and current SBL Player, Liz Cooke has been Camp appointed EPDBA Operations Manager. Volunteers Required The role of Operations Manager will involve amongst other duties a focus on Biddi Ball administration and development. Liz will hit the ground running after she has
completed a Community Coach Training Program being run by the Australian Sports Commission.

Australian U14 Boys Club Championships
Just a reminder that the East Perth Eagles U14 Boys will be representing the association in the Australian U14 Boys Club Championships being held in the ACT from 27 September - 2 October. If anyone is able to assist the boys in any way, please contact Judith on pene- [email protected]
State Team Representation
Congratulations to Brendan Dinardo, Roland Oates and Sam Garrett who represented WA in the Under 16 Australian Junior Championships in Logan QLD. The team coached by ex Wildcats player and coach, Alan Black, finished 7th overall having had some very close games including a 1 point loss to QLD South who finished 4th.Under 16 State Teams who will be representing WA in the Under 16 Australian Junior Championships.
The tournament runs from July 3-10 in Logan, Queensland and will be hosted by Major Sponsor: Australian Central Credit Union Ltd

Darren is an enthusiastic member of EPDBA coaching at various levels within the Association as well as holding down the position of EPDBA Referee Advisor. Australian Central East Perth Eagles complete SBL season
The Australian Central East Perth Eagles have completed their most successful season as a club in 20 years with both men's and women's teams making the playoffs but unfortunately being eliminated in the first week. Congratulations to all players, coaching staff, and all the volunteers who have enabled the season to be successful. Damian Martin in the Australian Boomers World Championship team.

The Perth Wildcats have completed its roster for the 2010/11 NBL season signing Joel Wagner, Greg Hire and Jarrod Balcombe as the club's three development players.
Jarrod is the youngest player with the Wildcats for the upcoming season at 20 and joins the team on the back of a solid SBL season with East Perth where he averaged 11.8 points and 4.2 rebounds a game that came after he was the Eagles' MVP in 2008. See the full story at

Directors and other Volunteers Required
As with most sporting and community clubs, EPDBA is reliant on Volunteers to enable it to function effectively and to grow. The Club is now in urgent need of people to fill the roles of Director of Finance, Director of Juniors, Director of Development and Director of WABL. Other Volunteers who can take on any role, no matter how small are welcome as well. If you are interested in taking on one of the volunteer roles do not hesitate to contact EPDBA's Operations Manager, Liz Cooke at [email protected] or at the offices of The Axis Group on 92727120.
Biddi Ball
Biddi-ball focuses on skills development for 4 to 8 year olds. It is a great starting point for both girls and boys and is also a lot of fun for everyone involved. It is organised and run under our extensive development program, and is a great lead in to the other stages of competition. All children are welcome. It's a fun way to develop hand-eye co-ordination as well as basketball skills.
Biddi-ball takes place on a Saturday morning between 8.00 am and 9.00 am, reg- istration from 7.55am.
