Il bordigotto Oliviero Troia: «Bloccato all’ultimo momento» di Elisa Colli – 18 Luglio 2021 – 10:25 Bordighera. «Ero ancora a casa per fortuna – racconta il bordigotto Oliviero Troia che avrebbe dovuto partecipare alla Volta Limburg Classic, oggi, il 18 luglio, ma è stata annullata dagli organizzatori dopo le forti piogge e le inondazioni che hanno devastato il Limburgo meridionale nei Paesi Bassi – sono sinceramente molto rattristato riguardo alla catastrofe successa, vedendo i danni e i dispersi ho subito pensato che fosse la cosa più giusta da fare. La gara è stata annullata ma sinceramente non ho idea se verrà recuperata più avanti». A causa dei danni causati dal maltempo gli organizzatori della Volta Limburg Classic hanno infatti deciso di annullare la gara ciclistica: «La situazione creata dalle inondazioni in gran parte del Limburgo meridionale è incalcolabile e causa enormi problemi. Come organizzazione eravamo pronti, ma il Limburgo meridionale è devastato da forti piogge e inondazioni e questo causa enormi problemi. Molte strade nel Limburgo meridionale sono impraticabili e la situazione rimane molto incerta. I problemi nella regione sono enormi e i danni incalcolabili. Siamo sconfitti e tristi dopo aver visto le terribili immagini.
