Emotional Health Compass takes the hard work out of finding local , low-cost services to support emotional & psychological wellbeing and healthy ageing. Services are available at a variety of locations across the Sunshine Coast and Gympie regions. Listings include meditation, mindful movement, education, support groups, helplines, websites, applications, as well as counselling, treatment & rehabilitation services. Point your health in the right direction The importance of emotional wellbeing for health at any stage of life is well documented. Evidence suggests that health is reliant on a person feeling confident, positive, optimistic, in-control & being able to cope with the ups & downs of life. Where emotional wellbeing exists, the risk of illness & ill health declines. This link becomes more important with advancing age, as the prevalence of illness increases. Growing research suggests that emotional & psychological wellbeing is a protective factor for health & can promote longevity.
