Powered by big data, PeopleStrong Alt covers the entire spectrum of HR like recruitment, employee life cycle management (all activities from hire to retire, like on boarding, leave & attendance management, performance management, exit management), and HR analytics, among others. Clients: PeopleStrong has clients across diverse industry sectors. India’s well-known organizations like Mahindra & Mahindra, HCL Infosystems, Schneider Electric, Maersk, Kotak , IndiGo Airlines, HDFC Life, Aditya Birla, Teva, , P&G, , Smiths Medical, BITS Pilani, Birla Sun Life Insurance, Vistara Airlines, , Honeywell, Hewlett Packard, Snapdeal and Zomato are some of its major customers.

Investors: Lumis Partners, HDFC Holdings, The HR Fund, and AAA Global Ventures have invested in the company, apart from angel investment from some very known HR leaders in India. PeopleStrong is one of the few Indian HR solution providers to attract funding from such organized players.

Strategies: Right from the beginning, PeopleStrong has maintained a technological edge in delivering next gen HR solutions to its clients. In addition, the experience of working for clients from different industries and geographies has provided a good competitive advantage. Focus on attracting regular funding into the organization has always added to the growth momentum. The company has continuous focus on research and development to innovate and re-define the role of HR in the professional world. PeopleStrong has, as in the past, plans to grow inorganically too. It has a significant stake in a leading skill assessment company, Wheebox. In October 2014, PeopleStrong acquired Webpay, a leading HR and payroll product provider. This acquisition would substantially add to its capability in cloud-based technology product suite, PeopleStrong ALT, besides strengthening its

intervention in the small and medium enterprise market segment. PeopleStrong plans to go global with its initial plans for the APAC region.

Growth: PeopleStrong has experienced a decade of tremendous growth, with a CAGR of about 60%. This number is expected grow further with tremendous focus towards PeopleStrong Alt, its technology and India’s first HR mobile App, which was launched in Jan 2015. At present, 100% of the company’s revenue is earned from technology centric HR solutions, of which almost 25% is earned from the users of PeopleStrong’s technology product.

PeopleStrong has been awarded ‘Asia Pacific Customer Relationship’ by HROA 2012-2013, ‘Best Recruitment and Staffing Organization of the Year’ by RASBIC Awards 2011-2012, and ‘Recruitment and Staffing Industry Leader of the Year’ by World HRD Conference 2011-2012.

It is the first HR Solutions company in India to be successfully assessed on Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) No. 16 for reporting on controls by Auditing Standards Board of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

 At present, PeopleStrong is present across 40 major cities in India. Earlier, the Recruitment Managed Services model of delivery was not prevalent in these industries.  Main reason for forming the organization: HR space in the last decade was very unorganized and governed primarily by about 40000 consultants, who specialized in providing services limited to particular HR sub-functions. There was no single player that could manage the employee life cycle and also ensure a positive employee experience at the same time. A big market opportunity was clearly seen by the founders, with the growth of Indian companies and MNCs in India, who had the foresight to envision HR as a mature function and having the willingness to employ HR expertise and technologies to achieve a greater employee experience and higher employee productivity. Thus, PeopleStrong was conceptualized with the intention of creating a publically traded HR Company.  People: PeopleStrong was founded by a group of first generation entrepreneurs, with experience in various HR functions at large corporate houses with strong domain and process understanding.
