This ensures 100% predictable and short response time. Up to 8 simultaneous events or interrupt conditions in the peripherals can automatically start actions in other peripherals.  Real 12-bit ADC and DAC - For high analog accuracy the XMEGA features high-speed 12-bit analog peripherals. Capable of up to 2 Msps, XMEGA’s ADCs deliver the fastest sample rate and most accurate result compared to conventional MCUs. The C8051F7xx family of high pin-count MCUs is Silicon Labs’ first MCU family to feature the patent-pending capacitance-to-digital converter (CDC). This enables easy replacement of traditional mechanical switches with capacitive touch sense capability in any product requiring a high performance, high pin-count MCU.

The C8051F700’s new touch sense capability is accurate, responsive, and reliable. The CDC will output samples with industry leading speed at 40 µs per sample and its new architecture is inherently immune to noise. This means sophisticated touch sense features such as buttons, wheels, and sliders will operate with no apparent lag, delay, or false touches. The C8051F700 MCU family also offers an array of features that allow design of most products with a single MCU. The C8051F700 is truly a complete system on a chip.

The C8051F700 MCU is a great compliment to other products from Silicon Labs.
