TANGLE is a unique collaboration between Tania and Renée, who met by chance in 2015, began playing together in local venues with great success, and immediately began setting benchmarks from then on. The intervening years has seen TANGLE evolve into an integral part of the music scene, performing 2-4 nights per week, and this all-female duo now has a sizeable following at their regular venues. Their infectious (sometimes hilarious) on-stage rapport, their astounding, constantly expanding repertoire of over 500 songs (covering all genres), and their ability to produce powerful or gentle, smooth or distinctively grit'-n-gravel vocal performances have made TANGLE a popular choice for all types of venues and functions, and for all ages. Powerful vocals, brilliant harmonies and solid musicianship on multiple instruments, along with the absolute best in equipment, means TANGLE’s sound quality is second to none. Backing is provided by self- produced, individualised backing tracks of the highest quality. While happy to play mainstream requests, TANGLE has also pushed boundaries, incorporating a stunning collection of interesting songs that…..well……no one else dares to play! Styles include Funk, Soul, Rock, Country Rock, Ballads, Top 40, and some Really Old Classics! Great songs with strong melodies and amazing harmonies, imaginative lyrics, and the occasional curve ball! Songs that speak personally to everyone in the room; songs that are etched in the minds and hearts of generations of music lovers. To these talented, sometimes oddball gals, the “two humans, one backing track” thing simply won’t do. It’s all about entertainment. They dare you not to sing & dance along. Tania’s vocal and musical prowess was established amongst Aussie musical royalty, largely in the unrivaled Melbourne music scene between 1988-2010, and also in Queensland, touring widely before establishing herself on the Gold Coast. She has shared the stage with members of LRB, Crowded House, Mondo Rock and Skyhooks; and artists such as Jack Jones, Rick Price, Ross Wilson and even the inimitable Johnny Chester. In various incarnations since 1984, Renée has shared the stage with Aussie legends such as Cold Chisel, The Angels, INXS, Divinyls, Mentals, Radiators, Choirboys, Goanna and Aussie Crawl.
