St. John Foster Care Donation Drive March 7-31

As part of our Lent almsgiving, St. John school will help secure donations for children going through foster care in our commu- nity. These children arrive many times with just the clothes on their backs. The children range in age from birth to 18 years of age and rely on donations to help them transition. We will collect these items March 7 through March 31. Donations will go to Kaw Valley Center (KVC), serving 30 counties in Kansas. They provide family preservation involving intensive in -home services, foster care for out of home placement, and adoption services. Below is a list of the items needed most. These items should be new or very gently used.

 Full size shampoo/conditioner  Body wash/soap  Deodorant  Body splash or lotions  Hair brushes/combs  Toothbrushes and toothpaste  Pajamas of all sizes  Slippers  Blankets (baby blankets and tie blankets for older kids)  Diapers  Baby wipes  Gift certificates for gas, oil changes, and household items like laundry detergent, dish soap, and toilet paper for foster fami- lies  New duffel bags/backpacks for children to carry their personal belongings Books, toys, and coloring books for families to enjoy while visiting in

 Outdoor toys including basketballs, soccer balls, baseballs, volleyballs, kick balls, footballs, frisbees, bubbles, and chalk  One-piece swimsuits, swim trunks, and flip flops  Warm-weather clothing including shorts, tanks, and sandals  Undergarments (new in all sizes)  Girl/Boy clothes (small, medium, and large Teen boy/girl sizes)
