“Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a great number of disabled people used to lie — the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One man was there who had been ill for 38 years” (John 5:2-5).
©Kyle Keimer “When Jesus saw him lying there and knew that he had been there a long time, he said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” The sick man answered him, “Sir, I have no one to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; and while I am making my way, someone else steps down ahead of me.” Then Jesus said, “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk!” At once the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked.” (John 5:6-9) ©Kyle Keimer Thursday The Last Supper Jerusalem The Garden of Gethsemane
