Daffodil day: €3750 was the amazing total collected for daffodil day / Irish cancer society between our 3 collection areas in Clooney Quin this year. Thanks to all who contributed in any way. A special thanks to all the daffodil growers and pickers.

WMOF Petition Box: Every Tuesday morning Mass is offered for the intentions of the families in our Parish. You are invited to put your family petitions in the box located in Quin Church

CCTV: Has now been installed in Quin Church for Crime prevention and general security purposes

Church gate collection: Kildrum cemetery maintenance committee are holding their annual church gate collection on Sunday 15th April, the continued support from the parish is gratefully appreciated by the committee.

The Quin/Clooney Apostolic annual display and cake sale will be on 28 April in Quin Community centre after 11 o’clock mass and from 2-5 pm, tea served. All are welcome. If anyone is interested in donating a sacred vessel in memory of a loved one or special event, please contact Moira 087 645 7744 or Cathy 087 137 4184 for more information.

Fundraising event: Clothing recycling drive in aid of Scoil Na Mainistreach Parents Association on 17/04/2018. Please donate all your clean unwanted clothes also bed linen, towels, curtains, paired shoes, soft toys, handbags and belts . PLEASE DROP OFF ALL ITEMS BEFORE 9.30AM

Quin Choir Returns: The local church choir, which had been dormant for the past couple of years, made a welcome return at 11am Mass in Quin last Sunday (8th April). To honour the occasion, Maretta O'Hehir of Ballynacally, famed soprano and operatic diva, made a guest appearance and enhanced the event with her wonderful solo performance. New members are always welcome . Rehearsals are every Monday night at 8.30pm in the Church.

New course of Pilates starting in Quin hall on Tuesday evening 24th April @ 6.45pm for 6 weeks. This is the last course until September. Contact Mary Donlon 087 281 8408 or pm on Facebook Mary Donlon Pilates.

The Parish & Pastoral Councils will meet on Monday 23 April at 8:30pm in the Activity ( mirrored) room of Quin Community Centre to discuss and prepare for our upcoming meeting with the Pastoral Development Committee of the Diocese on 1st May. All members are asked to try and attend.

Save the date!!!! Family Fun Day: To highlight the importance of family and the upcoming World Meeting of Fami- lies in Dublin in August there will be a Family Fun Day on Sunday 6 May from 3-6pm in the Showgrounds in . More details later.

Education Collection: Next Weekend 21/22 April there is a special Education Fund Collection or the Education and For- mation of Students, Priests and People. The Diocese of Killaloe has three students at the moment and one of these students, Rev. Martin Shanahan, will be ordained a priest in June. This is the pink coloured envelope in your box of envelopes. Thank you for your support.

Míle buiochas! This weekend marks the third anniversary since the passing of Packie Conroy. In his honour, the sec- ond memorial walk in his name took place last weekend. At the request of the Conroy family, funds raised on the walk will go towards the magnificent work being done in Milford Hospice. To date, just over €1,700 has been donated. Thanks to the Slattery Family who facilitated the walk, along with everyone that took part.

Fun Run for Special Causes: Taking place in village, on Sunday, 29th April, a 6km Sponsored Fun Walk/Run will raise funds for two unique projects in famine-stricken Uganda, east Africa. One is the Jinja Hospice project (for terminally ill patients) initiated by Dr/s Frank & Patricia Hassett of Barefield; the second is Walakuba School for Spe- cial Needs children, in the same region. The Walk will commence at 12noon. Registration from 10am. Subscrip- tion: €10 per person; €20 per family. Prizes & Spot prizes, (including for first buggy home). All welcome.

Mass & Anointing for people with disabilities & chronic illnesses will be held in on Wednesday, 16th May 2018 at 2 pm. Bishop Fintan Monahan will graciously be chief celebrant & homilist. All are welcome.

Choir: On Friday August 24th at the World Meeting of Families Congress, the Munster Province (which includes Killaloe diocese) are invited to form a combined provincial choir to sing at 2 major liturgies (9am Morning Prayer in the Simmonscourt RDS, and 4pm Eucharist in the RDS Arena). Ceol an Chláir Concert: On Saturday, April 21st 2018, Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan present "Ceol an Chláir" at Cois na hAbhna, Ennis, at 8pm.This concert features some of 's finest musicians, such as Tim Collins, Denis Liddy, Mary Liddy, Mary McNamara, Bríd O' Donoghue, Damien O' Reilly, Padraic O' Reilly and Garry Shannon.
