Visual Art 2 - Hernando High School – Karyne Cross Art Project Handout The artist Erin Fussell is doing an interactive art project in the year 2020. She is accepting post cards from anyone who mails them. She wants the postcard to be about “the inner and outer landscape” of the people who send them. She will display all the the following year and compile them into a . She will sell the book and use the proceeds to help people who are homeless. She hopes the project will connect people and help people who are alone. She started the project before COVID-19 because a national issue, but she thinks it is even more relevant with current events. Think: What social issues can you tell bother Fussell? How is she addressing those issues through her art?

Directions: Design a 4x6 postcard on sturdy (sketchbook paper, cardstock or an card). You may use this as a template. Just cut it out and paste it to sturdy paper. On the front, depict your inner or outer landscape using any art medium. On the back, write a note to this artist about your landscape. You can be as creative as you wish in your interpretation of this topic. Address the postcard to: Erin Fussell P.O. 13414 Los Angeles, CA 90013 Please take a picture of the front and back of your postcard and post it on Google Classroom. Postcard postage is $.35.
