Decembe 7th Charlie King & Rick B Charlie & Rick are becoming a holiday institution at PVC (but whourkhardt wants to spend the holidays in an institution?) Charlie is kicking off his 50th anniversary year as a folk performer and his 40th as a song writer, celebrating with a 40-song retrospective CD. Rick has been listening to Charlie for most of those 40 years and will breathe new life into some of those old songs. Rick has some new songs of his own - to flaunt as well as nuggets from the Prince Myshkin repertoire. They plan to have more fun than you. Charlie King is a musical storyteller and political satirist. He sings and writes passionately about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people. Charlie has been at the heart of for half a century. His songs have been recorded and sung by other performers such as , , Ronnie Gilbert, John McCutcheon, , Peggy Seeger and Chad Mitchell. He has toured as songwriter/accordionist for the Prince Myshkins, a political cabaret/folk duo, and he is a founding mem ber of the Nonsense Company, an experimental music/theater trio. Their 2008 performance in ’s Frigid Theater Festival was reviewed as “the must-see show of the festival” and won Best - Show and Audience Choice awards.
