The Vassar College women’s team (5-6, 1-4 ) notched its first Liberty League win of the season yesterday afternoon in overtime, 17-16, over St. Lawrence. The Brewers earned the victory on the strength of a free position goal by sophomore Allie Morgan 4:50 into overtime. Despite a game-high seven points from junior Kimberly Loucks (Waterloo, NY), Clarkson lost 14-10 at Rensselaer in Liberty League action on Friday afternoon in Troy, NY. keeping Clarkson winless in league play. Last weekend, the Golden Knights lost to a pair of tough Liberty League opponents in Hamilton and William Smith, both of whom are nationally ranked. Against William Smith, the Golden Knights held a 2-0 cushion through the opening minutes, but William Smith stormed back to take a 12-3 lead at the break, and held on for a 19-8 win. Junior Kimberly Loucks, who scored her 100th point in the loss to William Smith, is currently 4th in the Liberty League, averaging 3.00 goals per game. Senior Alyssa Breed is 6th in the category with 2.89 goals per game, and freshman goalie Hannah Walters leads the Liberty League with a .559 save percentage and 15.89 saves per game. The Golden Knights host Skidmore College next Friday in a Liberty League matchup.

Then junior Christine Eaccarino chipped in four goals and two assists for the Brewers, who won their fifth straight game.
