An Interview with Thai Pro Footballer Chaowat Veerachart

Under the support of its main sponsor Yanmar, Ceresso Osaka has a developed global reputation for nurturing talent, having produced such world-class footballers as (currently at Real Zaragoza, S.A.D, Spain), (SD Eibar, Spain), and Ceresso Academy alumni Takumi Minamino now at FC Red Bull Salzburg, Austria.

However, it’s not only the domestic Japanese players that flourish. There is no shortage of players who transfer to Ceresso and go on to make a name for themselves. Meet Chaowat Veerachart, a talented Thai player who has been selected to represent his country in various age levels. Chaowat transferred to where he found opportunities to shine hard to come by. However, upon his return to Thailand, he was able to apply his hard-earned Cerezo experience and knowhow at Bangkok club BG Pathum United, where he is performing well as a leading player in the team.

Yanmar’s founder, Magokichi Yamaoka, established the Yamaoka Scholarship Foundation out of his own resources to support youth that carry the hopes of the next generation, with support activities and scholarships. In 2013, the Foundation expanded its activities to Southeast Asia, and then in 2016, established the Yanmar Group NPO, Yamaoka Hanasaka Academy, to further support the regions’ youth in realizing their dreams of becoming pro footballers, through scholarships and specialist training.

Both Yanmar and Cerezo Osaka are committed to a spirit of “nurture”, supporting the young players of tomorrow in gaining invaluable experience and knowhow, towards a society filled with rich and fulfilling experiences.
