As part of the ongoing improvement to the Park & Dare Theatre, during the months of January and February we will be replacing the lift to all floors, to comply with health and safety laws and the needs of our customers.

Due to the essential works surrounding this replacement at the Park & Dare Theatre, the lift will be out of service from Tuesday 3 January until Friday 24 February 2017. As a result, the main auditorium can only be accessed by stairs, which will provide some temporary access issues. Whilst causing short term inconvenience, this work should lead to improved access to the theatre in the longer term. SONIG HOT JAM Rock and Pop Songwriting & Performance Course February Half Term 2017 Are you a budding rock and pop musician or singer songwriter aged between 11 – 18 years old and living in Rhondda Cynon Taf? Would you like the opportunity to participate in a 3 or 4 day rock & pop songwriting/ performance course (non residential) with like minded musicians and led by expert tutors? During February half term 2017 SONIG Youth Music Industry (part of Rhondda Cynon Taf County Brough Councils Arts Service and funded through the Families First initiative) will once again be running their successful rock and pop course with Hot Jam Productions at a venue in Rhondda Cynon Taf. It will include tuition in voice, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, drums and percussion and participants will work on a number of cover songs as well as writing their own material.. Hot Jam’s tutors will also coach the students on a variety of music techniques specific to their instrument. They will also study stagecraft, improvisation and songwriting. The course will end with an exciting final showcase for family and friends!
