This means that if you would like to purchase a pair of shoes, a racquet, a shirt, socks, or something that we may not have in stock or in your size or in your favorite color, you can now order in our online shop and save! All orders placed in the online pro-shop are shipped to New Seabury the same day and New Seabury Members receive 20% off on apparel! On Saturday, July 15th, we will have our annual Parent-Child Tennis Challenge from 1:00-4:00pm. Join us for a fun- filled afternoon of tennis, all while spending quality time with your family. All skill levels are welcome. The deadline to register is Friday, July 15th. Please register in the Pro Shop. Adult Tennis Program The Adult Tennis Program at New Seabury offers a wide variety of adult tennis clinics for all ability levels. These clinics feature video analysis, stroke development and refinement for both basic and advanced skills, the use of spin, repetitive/tactical drills and some competitive situations. These clinics are a great opportunity to build solid technique, to learn new skills, and to get a great workout! Whatever your skill level, we have something for you. If you only have a short time slot to get in a tennis workout, no problem! Most clinics are only an hour or an hour and a half so you will have plenty of time for the beach or to hit the links. Join a group clinic, cardio tennis, or take a private lesson with our certified teaching professionals. You will be surprised at how much you can improve with the right instruction! Round Robin Doubles Mondays 9:30am-11:00 $15 Join the crowd for a fun, social outing of tennis with great play, refreshments and prizes. This Doubles Round Robin is a great way to meet other people who want to play tennis! You don’t need a partner to sign-up. The best part? At least one member from our professional staff will be on each court helping you with doubles strategy throughout the session! Cardio Tennis Tuesdays, Thursdays, & Saturdays 10:00 - 11:00 $25 In this one hour session, you will work on your strokes and get a great aerobic workout while listening to upbeat, dance music that will get you moving! We have our very own version of Cardio Tennis that will not disappoint. Whether you are a complete beginner or an ex-professional, we will get you burning calories and having a great time! All levels are welcome. Live Ball Doubles Strategy Fridays 10:30-12:00 $35 If you enjoy standing in line, waiting for a pro to feed you two balls, then going back to the end of the line only to again wait, then this is not a clinic for you. This is the exact opposite. Here we will focus on high energy, continuous play tennis games. Fun & competitive point play will improve your fitness, footwork, reaction time, net game, and strategy arsenal. Open to all levels of play, men & women welcome. Drill & Play Sundays 10:30-12:00 $35 This clinic is offered for players of any level and feature a tactical approach to building a player’s game. Doubles play patterns are developed through a progressive use of tactical dead ball, live ball and competitive decision making drills and games. If you are comfortable with your shot making, this is the program for you. Drill & Grill Wednesdays 4:30-6:00 $30 *Starts July 5th Let’s get social! The first 45 minutes of this session will be comprised of fun, high-paced, energetic doubles drills and games! The second 45 minutes will be reserved for supervised doubles play. Afterwards, we will meet up on the deck for a casual dinner and drinks. If you’re spouse doesn’t play tennis, feel free to invite them for the dinner portion. The featured menu will change from week to week, so check the Pro Shop for this week’s menu! Junior Tennis Academy Our junior players learn, train, develop, and improve through fun, high-energy games in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Aspects of technique, strategy, sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitiveness are at the core of each of our training sessions. Each of these five pillars is developed intensively, and each is tailored to the player’s stage, which depends on age, physical condition, and ability level. We use red, orange and green balls for all types of tennis programming, using appropriate control balls will help beginner and recreational children to learn the game and improve faster, and increase their enjoyment in tennis. In each clinic, we scale our practice to develop hand-eye coordination, agility, and movement. Players develop sufficient consistency to sustain longer rallies. 8 & Under Tennis Tuesdays & Thursdays 9:00-10:00 $20 8 & Under Tennis Clinics take a new and better approach to introducing kids to the game. We use balls that are lower in compression so that they bounce low and slow. We focus on developing coordination skills and racquet control, while creating a fun and stimulating atmosphere. Skills Competition Saturdays 10:00-11:00 $20 This new clinic is designed to provide a fun, team competition for our younger players that is comprised of a series of skills challenges, activities, and games. Our competitors can win prizes each week, and we will keep track of weekly results throughout the summer! Junior Development Mondays & Wednesdays 11:00-1:00 $30 This clinic has been designed to focus on all aspects of the game. The first half of the clinic will be geared towards stroke development drills and the second half will be geared towards playing strategy through fun and engaging games. All skill levels welcome. Junior Ladder Match Play Tuesdays 11:00-2:00 $40 The first half of the clinic will focus on individual skill development and high-energy games. Teaching young players to compete in a non-stressful environment before actual tournament play is crucial in their development. The second half will consist of Singles Ladder Challenge Matches. Junior High Performance Mondays & Wednesdays 1:00-3:00, Fridays 8:30-10:30 This clinic is geared for juniors who currently play in USTA tournaments and/or are currently playing high school team tennis. We will create more of a high-performance, team training atmosphere, to push on to the next level and get comfortable in a competitive environment. Team Match Play Thursdays 11:00-2:00 $40 It is our goal to prepare juniors for High School Tennis and beyond. One of the best ways to do that is to focus on doubles strategy and team play. During the match portion, we will divide everyone into two teams and allow the kids to work together as they set their line-up and compete against the opposition. .

  • Get Fit with the Right Racquet Manufacturers Continue to Add fl Exibility and Comfort Features to Their Frames
OUTLOOK 2019: RACQUETS Get Fit With the Right Racquet Manufacturers continue to add fl exibility and comfort features to their frames. By Nate Pagel he new year brings us a wide range of new racquets. Styles and preferences ebb and fl ow, and lately we have seen many racquet designs shift from fl ashy to minimalist—including most of Wilson’s racquets, the Dunlop CX line, and Head’s Speed, Extreme and TInstinct racquet lines. We’ve also started to see racquets become more fl exible and softer on the arm; specifi cally, the success of the Prince Phantom line, Babolat’s softening of its ever-popular Pure Aero line, and the new Wilson Clash. In addition to the standbys, it’s exciting to see some new names in the racquet industry. Diadem, previously focused mainly on strings, enters the marketplace; Snauwaert is an old company making a new run. Both of these companies released several racquets in 2018, with more to come. At the U.S. Racquet Stringers Association, we emphasize the need to “fi t” players properly. With all the racquets on the market, you should be able to help players fi nd the right frame for their game. Here are some of the latest o erings. Babolat / babolat.com /877-316-9435 Babolat's Pure Aero line The Pure Aero is the reference racquet for players who use includes the Pure Aero, spin to defi ne their game. Babolat’s series of innovations Pure Aero Team, Pure has further improved this frame: Aeromodular technology Aero Lite, Pure Aero Tour and Pure Aero +.
