From a smartphone or laptop: 1. Go to the App Store 2. Search Google Duo (free) 3. Install Google Duo You will be asked to Share Your Contacts. If you intend to use Duo user outside of service provisions, you may select ‘OK’, and the Contact List form your phone will be added to the Contact List in the Duo app. If you do not intend to use Duo regularly outside of service provisions, select ‘Don’t Allow’. This will prevent your Contacts List from uploading, eliminating some potential confusion. Google Duo for Telehealth. 3.17.20. v1. Boundless You will be asked to Allow Notifications. By selecting ‘Allow’, you are allowing the Duo app to notify you when you have an incoming call from your provider. 4. Either use your Phone Number or your Google Account to set up your Duo Account. If you choose to use your phone number: a. On your Android device, enter your phone number and make sure it's correct. b. Tap Agree. Google Duo for Telehealth. 3.17.20. v1. Boundless c. Duo will send a code in a one-time SMS message to the number that you entered. (Carrier text-message rates may apply.) d. Enter the code that you received in the text message. • If you don't receive a text message, tap Resend SMS. • If you have a cell connection and aren't getting the SMS, request a call by tapping Call me. • If you continue having problems verifying your phone number, visit the verification troubleshooting article. If you choose to use your Google Account: a. To connect your Google Account, tap Agree. b. If you already use Duo on another device with your Google Account, sign in with the same account to finish setup. c. After you connect Duo to your Google Account: • You can use Duo across different devices. • People with your phone number or Google Account info, like your Gmail address, can see that you use Duo and call you using the app. • You can add or remove your Google Account from Duo at any time. After you verify your number on Duo • People with your phone number can see that you use Duo and call you using the app. If you connect your Google Account, they can also connect with you across Google services. • Duo can periodically send your contacts and location to Google. • If you call someone not saved in your contacts, Duo will display your phone number so they can see who’s calling. Use Duo to call your contacts • Video calls with anyone in your contacts who uses Duo: Call friends and family across different devices like Android, iOS, computers, Google Home Hub, Lenovo Smart Display, and JBL Link View. • High quality audio and video: Your call’s quality automatically changes, based on your connection. • Knock Knock: You can see a live video preview before answering a call from one of your contacts. • End-to-end encryption: Your calls are secure and can only be seen by you and the person you're talking with. Google Duo for Telehealth. 3.17.20. v1. Boundless Set up Google Duo on a computer Step 1: Open Duo 1. On your computer, open duo.google.com. Step 2: Verify your phone number (optional) Important: If you skip this step and you don't verify your phone number, you can only receive calls from people who you've previously called. 1. Enter your phone number. 2. Click Get verification code. 3. Duo will send a code in a one-time SMS message to the number that you entered. (Carrier text-message rates may apply.) 4. Enter the code that you received in the text message. • If you don't receive a text message, click Resend. • If you still don’t receive a text message, click Back to make sure you entered your phone number correctly. • If you continue having problems verifying your phone number, visit the verification troubleshooting article. Download and install Duo Step 2: Verify your phone number You can skip phone number verification. If you skip this step, you have to connect to your Google Account. 1.
