SUBJECT: 2009 Meeting Schedule

Recommendation Review the schedule, suggest changes, and vote to approve meeting dates for 2009, including: 1. Regular meetings dates highlighted in the attached calendar 2. Two special meetings for the DAP on February 4 and February 18.

Meeting Schedule The attached 2009 calendar has the regular meeting dates highlighted and the special meeting dates outlined. All regular meetings will be held at 7:00 PM at the North Berkeley Senior Center. All meetings follow the pattern of the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the months with the following exceptions:

1. February: Special meetings for the DAP on 2/4/09 and 2/18/09. 2. April: Meetings on 4/15/09 and 4/29/09 (3rd and 5th Wednesdays) because is on the 2nd Wednesday, April 8th. 3. November: Meetings on 11/4/09 and 11/18/09 (1st and 3rd Wednesdays) because the 2nd Wednesday falls on Veteran’s Day, November 11th and the 4th Wednesday falls the day before Thanksgiving. 4. December: One meeting only (12/9/09).

Excused Absence Reminder To be excused from a regular meeting, the Commission secretary needs to receive notice from the Clerk’s office by 5 p.m. the day of . After two consecutive in- excused absences, upon your third consecutive in-excused absence your appointment automatically expires. Absence from special meetings does not count against your attendance requirements.
