AP07738PU-N Polyclonal Antibody to SNAI2 / SLUG - Purified

Alternate names: factor Slug, Protein snail homolog 2, SLUGH, protein SNAI2 Quantity: 50 µg Concentration: 1 mg/ml Background: This encodes a member of the Snail family of C2H2-type zinc finger transcription factors. The encoded protein acts as a transcriptional repressor that binds to E-box motifs and is also likely to repress E-cadherin transcription in breast carcinoma. This protein is involved in epithelial-mesenchymal transitions and has antiapoptotic activity. Mutations in this gene may be associated with sporatic cases of neural tube defects. Uniprot ID: O43623 NCBI: NP_003059.1 GeneID: 6591 Host: Rabbit Immunogen: Synthetic 13 amino acid peptide from near the center of human SNAI2 / SLUG Format: State: Liquid Ig fraction Buffer System: PBS containing 0.02% Sodium azide as preservative Applications: Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections: 2.5 µg/ml. Western Blot: 1 - 2 µg/ml. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. Specificity: Detects SNAI2 / SLUG Species: Human and Mouse. Other species not tested. Storage: Store undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C to -80°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch. General Readings: 1.
