TED A. HYMAN, AIA PARTNER-IN-CHARGE / PROJECT MANAGER

Education Ted Hyman is a managing partner and project manager in ZGF’s Bachelor of Science in Architecture, office. Much of his career has concentrated in the areas of technical design and Polytechnic State University, project delivery. He has led teams for many of the firm’s most challenging and San Luis Obispo technologically complex projects, taking responsibility for the programming, International Studies Program, management, coordination, production, and construction administration. Having Copenhagen, Denmark been involved in the design of a number of new engineering, nanotechnology and bioscience facilities over the last decade, Ted is knowledgeable about the latest concepts and innovations in laboratory buildings. During his 16 years at ZGF, he has played a key role in guiding the development of the Los Angeles office, while also successfully directing and mentoring project teams for leading-edge research institutions.

R. DOSS MABE, FAIA DESIGN PARTNER

Education Doss Mabe is a partner and has served as director of design for ZGF’s Los Angeles Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of office for the last 17 years. As an architect and urban designer, he has been called Architecture, Rice University upon to design and implement programs to bring together very diverse groups of Master of Architecture in Urban technical staff and community in order to facilitate consensus on a shared vision for Design, Harvard University future projects, and to work together in producing a product which is mutually Master of Philosophy in Social acceptable. Doss’s experience includes the programming, planning and design of Anthropology, Yale University major institutional, public, mixed-use, and urban design projects. Prior to entering H.U.D. Fellowship, Harvard private practice, Doss taught at Yale University, the University of Redlands, and University Rice University, and more recently, at the University of Southern California. DUSTY RHOADS, AIA, LEED® AP DESIGN PARTNER

Education Dusty is a design partner with over 24 years of experience. For the past 15 years, he Bachelor of Architecture, Lawrence has served as a design partner and senior designer in the firm’s Los Angeles office Institute of Technology where he has been responsible for a diverse range of projects on academic, Bachelor of Science in Architecture, institutional, and corporate campuses—including buildings for biotechnology, Lawrence Institute of Technology nanotechnology and genomics research. Many of his projects have responded to cultural changes within institutions that now seek a physical environment to promote creative collaboration and build scientific community. His projects clearly reflect his commitment to creating appropriate architecture that balances function with form, meets the goals and aspirations of the users, and provides maximum flexibility for unknown future requirements.

LISA PADILLA, AIA SENIOR URBAN DESIGNER

Education Lisa Padilla brings over 18 years of experience in urban design and architecture. As Bachelor of Architecture, University of a principal and senior urban designer, she has contributed to the design and California, Berkeley implementation of numerous campus and community master plans. She has also Gerson Memorial Award had considerable experience working with city agencies, elected officials, and local stakeholders as a collaborator in cooperative endeavors structured to achieve consensus and advance projects that achieve multiple objectives. As a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), Lisa served on the editorial board of ArcCA, the California chapter’s quarterly publication devoted to architectural design and practice. She also served on the AIA National Committee on Urban Design, as well as the Los Angeles board of the Association for Women in Architecture.
