For commuters, Stonegate station lies about 11.6 miles to the north, providing services to London (Charing Cross/Cannon Street) and there is a good choice of schools in the area.

The property enjoys a rural outlook to all sides within established gardens with a southerly aspect and has been lovingly restored with extensive bespoke oak joinery which merges seamlessly with the aged oak, including wall and ceiling beams, drop latch doors and leaded light windows, to create a delightful country home.

The characterful accommodation comprises a generously proportioned sitting room with a wide Inglenook fireplace housing a wood burning stove and French doors opening out to the garden, a dining room, a kitchen/ breakfast room complete with an Aga, together with four good-sized bedrooms and two bathrooms.

In addition, the detached double garage to the eastern side of the house encompasses a useful first floor self-contained one bedroom annexe or studio/office. The garden surrounds the house, amounting to about 0.64 of an acre, with a magnificent English oak and a raised flagstone terrace edged with wisteria to the rear, providing a lovely vantage point for enjoyment of the idyllic surroundings. Steps lead down from the terrace to a sweeping lawn bounded by hedging and mature trees and adjoining open fields. A copse of fruit trees, including apples and a medlar and a wildlife pond in the corner provides lovely focal points.
