01 September (Day 1): ♦ Heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Gujarat State and north Konkan and heavy rainfall at isolated places over Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, north Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & . ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh & Delhi, Rajasthan, Gangetic West Bengal , Jharkhand, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal. ♦ Squally weather wind speed (40-50 kmph to gusting 60) very likely over Northeast Arabian along & off Maharashtra-Gujarat coasts. Fisherman are advised not to venture into these areas.

03 September (Day 3): ♦ Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Bihar, Assam & Meghalaya, Uttarakhand, Saurashtra & Kutch, Telangana, Kerala & Mahe, South Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal. ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely at isolated places over Kerala & Mahe, Telangana, Rayalseema, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.

04 September (Day 4): ♦ Heavy rainfall at isolated places over Odisha, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala & Mahe, Telangana and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam. ♦ Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning likely at isolated places over Rayalseema, Kerala & Mahe, Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam and Tamilnadu, Puducherry & Karaikal.

EXPECTED IMPACT & ACTION SUGGESTED due to Very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Gujarat state during 01st-02nd September; over north Konkan on 01st September.

A. Impact Expected

 Localized Flooding of roads, inundation and water logging in low lying areas and closure of underpasses mainly in urban areas of the above .  Occasional reduction in visibility due to heavy rainfall.  Disruption of traffic in major cities due to water logging in roads leading to increased travel time.  Minor damage to kutcha roads.  Possibilities of damage to vulnerable structure.  Localized Landslides/Mudslides  Damage to horticulture and standing crops in some areas due to inundation.  It may lead to riverine flooding in some river catchments (for riverine flooding please visit Web page of CWC)

B. Action Suggested  Check for traffic congestion on your route before leaving for your destination.  Follow any traffic advisories that are issued in this regard.  Avoid going to areas that face the water logging problems often.  Avoid staying in vulnerable structure.
