The stories are from the Vintage Book of Contemporary American Short Stories, edited by Tobias Wolff. The stories were written in the 70's to 90's by both male and female American authors. Tuesday, March 23 ● 12:30 p.m. ● Bus Trip Food Bank Volunteer Trip This twice-monthly trip is a great opportunity for fellowship with other residents while volunteering to help those in need through the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma. Tuesday, March 23 ● 2:00 p.m. ● City View Lounge Parkinson’s Disease Support Group This in-house group will be facilitated by Montereau staff trained through the American Parkinson’s Disease Association. The group will meet on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 2:00 p.m. and is intended for those with Parkinson’s as well as PD caregivers. After lunch, we will travel to the Tallgrass Prairie, home to bison, cattle, and other wildlife. This trip is approximately six hours in length. Monday, March 29 ● 12:00 p.m. ● Grand Riviera Lounge “Intuitive Eating” Book Club Kick-Off Lunch Join us on Monday, March 29th for the launch of our new book club led by our registered dietitian, Melissa Horn-Speck. Intuitive Eating is not another diet. Some people have even called it “the anti-diet”. Over the course of this book club we will be exploring the ten principles of intuitive eating. While working through these principles, we will learn how to reconnect with our body’s natural signals of hunger and fullness, rediscover the satisfaction of eating without guilt, and build a foundation for a healthy relationship with food.
