Modern (CLLS2151) The programme will introduce you to 9 prominent modern Chinese writers and their works, Introduction including ’s , Zhou Zuoren's selected prose, Ba Jin’s Cold Nights, Cao Yu’s Thunderstorm, Eileen Chang’s Red Rose, White Rose, Shen Congwen’s Border Town, Feng Zhi’s Sonnets, ’s Rickshaw Boy and Lin Haiyin’s My Memories of Old .

Selection is based on students’ performance in answering the question. Only students who can demonstrate and the basic knowledge of Chinese Modern Literature in the screening question can be enrolled in the programme.
