2.5. Diagnostic Notes **Adult**

Forewing white marked with brown; hindwing grey or brownish grey. Head with a tuft of brownish white hairs; thorax and abdomen brown; antennae simple, filiform. The colour of the hair tuft on the head and on characters of the genitalia.

**Egg**

Oval, yellowish white. In granaries the female glues one or two eggs to each grain, laying up to 100 eggs.

Head brown, adfrontals usually darker; pigmented ocellar spot not very extensive; body white or yellowish white; peritreme of spiracles pale brown; pinacula and anal plate concolorous with integument; prothoracic plate and thoracic legs pale brown.

**Pupa**

Yellowish brown; with two ventral spines on the cremaster.
