Government organizes mega job fair in

• This Job fair may well be India’s post-covid ‘recovery’ in the employment space. • Youngsters from Thiruvallur District will witness an unprecedented “Mega Job Fair”with 200 private small, medium and large scale companies

Chennai, 9th January 2021: The Department of Employment & Training, Tamil Nadu Government is set to organize a mega one-day job fair in Tiruvallur District on 11 th January, 2021, Monday . Organized by Department of Employment and Training in association with The Ma Foi Foundation under the mentorship of Honourable Minister for Tamil Official Language, Tamil Culture and Archaeology, Government of Tamil Nadu Thiru. Ma Foi. K. Pandiarajan , the job fair is set to witness participation from over 200 private small, medium and large scale companies. The job fair is scheduled to take place from 9:00 AM onwards at Jaya College of Arts and Science, Tiruninravur. Candidates who have successfully completed school education starting from 8 th standard to 12 th standard can take part in the job fair. ITI, Diploma and candidates who have successfully completed Graduation can also take part in this job fair.

The Job Fair will be inaugurated by distinguished dignitaries including Thirumathi. Dr. Nilofer Kafeel, Tamil Nadu Labour Minister and will have the august presence of Thiru. Ma Foi. K. Pandiarajan, Minister for and Culture, Thiru. P. Ponniah IAS, District Collector, Tiruvallur District, Thiru. K. Veera Raghava Rao IAS, Director, Department of Employment and Training .The dignitaries will also be presenting the selected candidates with their offer letters.

Mr. Ma Foi K Pandiarajan, Minister for Tamil Official Language, Tamil Culture and Archaeology, Government of Tamil Nadu will be part of the job fair and hand over appointment letters on behalf of companies to selected candidates. The job fair will also house an exclusive booth for candidates to register themselves for vocational training and development facilities offered by the state Government.

Commenting on the occasion Thiru. Ma Foi. K. Pandiarajan, Honourable Minister for Tamil Language and Culture said “ The government of Tamil Nadu, has always given importance in the areas of Empowerment, Education skill development, etc., and has been actively championing in the job space to bring youth closer to jobs by bridging the skill gap. This is the 4 th Job Fair that is being facilitated in Tiruvallur district. The Management of Jaya Group of Colleges have as always graciously accepted to make available their Arts and Science College for the purpose of the training with unconditional support from their staff. We have also arranged shuttle services from nearby locations and will be offering food to all candidates at no cost. Considering safety and hygiene protocols, the job fair will be organized following proper social distancing and sanitization.“

18,000 vacancies, over 10000 Job Seekers, 193 employers with an average salary of Rs. 13,500 per month from a range of sectors including Manufacturing, Logistics, Electronics, Electrical, E- Commerce, Health, Sales and Marketing, IT and ITES, Service, Banking and Finance is the choice of opportunities candidates will be exposed to in this event. Ltd, Entrepreneurship Development Innovation Institute, Women Self Help Groups, 108 Ambulance Training for Emergency Medical Technician and makes it inclusive by adding stalls for Transgender Skill Training and Recruitment and Special stalls for the Differently abled. Special attention has been given to Career Guidance Cell at the venue and psychometric test for the students to understand their interest quotient and to give them orientation and direction toward their interests and to motivate them to pursue careers of their choice.
