THE VALE OF COUNCIL () (20 MPH SPEED RESTRICTION AND REVOCATION) ORDER 2021 1. On the 25th March 2021 the Council in exercise of its powers under Sections 1,2 & 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers made an Order the general effect of which is as described in the Schedules below. 2. The Order will come into operation on the 6th April 2021 or on the date that the signs and road markings are in place, whichever is the later and shall be referred to as The Vale of Glamorgan Council (St Brides Major) (20 MPH Speed Restriction and Revocation) Order 2021. A copy of the Order and plans showing the affected areas may be seen on the Council’s website at www.valeofglamorgan.gov.uk 3. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any provisions contained therein on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of the same or that any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, you may within six weeks from the 6th April 2021 apply to the High Court for this purpose. SCHEDULE 1 Revocation of the following Traffic Regulation Order: The Vale of Glamorgan Council (B4265 Road (Part), St Brides Major) (Variable 20mph Speed Restriction) Order 2019. SCHEDULE 2 No person shall cause or permit a vehicle to proceed at a speed greater than 20 miles per hour in the location specified in Schedule 3 below. SCHEDULE 3 B4265 Wick Road From its junction with the B4524 Road, southwards, for a distance of approximately 852 metres, to be contiguous with the existing national speed restriction. Unnamed lane to Blackhall Road (via Court Newydd Farm) From its junction with the B4265 Wick Road, in a north-westerly direction for a distance of approximately 100 metres. B4265 Ewenny Road From its junction with the B4524 Southerndown Road, northwards, for a distance of approximately 718 metres, to be contiguous with the existing 40 miles per hour speed restriction. Penylan Road Throughout its entire length. B4524 Southerndown Road From its junction with the B4265 Ewenny Road / Wick Road, in a generally easterly direction, for a distance of approximately 260 metres, to be contiguous with the existing 40 miles per hour speed restriction Heol-y-Slough From its junction with the B4524 Southerndown Road, in a north-westerly direction, for a distance of approximately 85 metres, to be contiguous with the existing national speed restriction. Lon-yr-Eglwys, Heol Sant Bridget, Unnamed lane from the B4265 Ewenny Road to Bramerton House, Rear lane (The Fox public house) from the B4265 Ewenny Road to Y Gorlan Throughout their entire lengths. Blackhall Road From its junction with the B4265 Ewenny Road in a generally easterly direction, for a distance of approximately 202 metres, to be contiguous with the existing national speed restriction.
