2018 RECAP: The Rawhide finished the 2018 regular season with a 70-70 record. It was enough to get a berth 2019 ODDS & ENDS in the playoffs. In the first round, the Rawhide faced the Stockton Ports. It took the all 5 games in the series, but Home 49-19 the Rawhide pushed past the Ports to clinch the Northern Division Championship. They took on the Southern Away 34-34 Division Champions, the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes, for the Championship. The Quakes swept Day 11-5 the Rawhide in 3 games, continuing the championship drought in Visalia. Night 72-48 vs. LHP 15-11 KINGS OF THE NORTH: Rawhide finished in first place in the Northern Division with a 44-22 overall vs. RHP 68-42 record. June 3rd the Rawhide defeated the Stockton Ports 4-2 to clinch the title of First-Half Champions of the Series Record 25-13-3 Northern Division. Visalia was the first team in to clinch a spot in the playoffs. How Acquired: Trade from the St. Louis Cardinals for Paul Goldschmidt

CAREER AT A GLANCE: Weaver is coming off a UCL strain and flexor pronator mass in his right elbow. He was placed on the 60-day injured list on July 26, 2019. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the first round (27th overall) of 2014 out of Florida State University. He was drafted in the 19th round in 2011 out of high school by the Toronto Blue Jays, but he elected to attend Florida State instead.

He made his major league debut for the Cardinals on August 13, 2016. In 2017, he bounced back and forth from the Cardinals to AAA Memphis Redbirds. In 2018, he made one start for Memphis but spent most of the season with the Cardinals. He was 7-11 with a 4.95 ERA in 25 starts and 30 appearances.

December 5, 2018 he was traded to the Diamondbacks with , 2B Andy Young, and future considerations for 1B Paul Goldschmidt. He began the 2019 season with the Diamondbacks and has started 11 games with a 3.03 ERA. Weaver was first placed on the 10-day Injured List for right forearm tightness.

CAREER AT A GLANCE: This is Lewis’ second professional season and 13th appearance for the Rawhide. Tonight is his third appearance out of the bullpen. His first relief appearance he was scheduled to start, but started as a part of a MLB rehab assignment. The other appearance out of the bullpen was scheduled for him to piggy- back off Ryan Weiss to conserve his innings. His last appearance was the final game of the regular season on September 2nd against Modesto. Lewis gave up three earned runs off five hits and two walks. He was not a part of the decision, but the Rawhide won 4-3 in the season finale. Tonight is Lewis’s post-season debut.
