Los Angeles, CA Haff also won prizes for high run in the finals with an 8 and best game in the finals, 25 points 323-490-8075 in 25 innings, both scored in his game with Gary Eake. Defending champion George Ashby, who has won eight national championships, was slightly Victor Cuzzi below par and lost two games. Ourname Tournament
Living Legends Challenge ike Sigel and Earl Strickland, without a doubt, are “living legends”. Although both players are Hall -of-Famers, Earl has been competing and practicing regularly while Mike has only practiced for this contest. As we all know, both Earl Mand Mike like to talk to anyone who will listen and that’s what they did. Both players were mic’d and were free to express themselves without limitations. The variety of six disciplines: 8-Ball, 9-Ball, 10-Ball, Straight Pool, Banks, and One- Pocket made each player a favorite in several disciplines. As a result, it was an exceptional match that’s worth seeing again. Aramith/SimonisResults for Arena, day John1 Bender and Bill Hendrixson commentating, Sandcastle Billiards, Edison, NJ 1. The show was the chatter. Clearly Earl looked in form as Sigel struggled. Earl competes and practices regularly while Mike tried to get ready for this challenge match and it showed as Earl dominated the 8-Ball match. The 10-Ball match started out similarly, but a Strickland skid on game ball changed things including a swelling confidence from Sigel. It ended up a squeaker as Mike tied it up at 7-7 yet Earl closed it out at 8-7. Again, the player’s mic’d made it a blast. Straight Pool was the game that all thought Mike had his best chance at turning the tables on Earl. -

Bibliography of Studies of Eighteenth-Century Journalism, the Periodical Press, and Serial Publications in 1985–2016
Bibliography of Studies of Eighteenth-Century Journalism, the Periodical Press, and Serial Publications in 1985–2016 This bibliography surveys scholarship published from 1985 to 2016 on journalism, diverse serials (including almanacs and calendars), and the periodical press throughout Europe and the Americas during the "long eighteenth century," approximately 1660-1820. It is most inclusive for the years 1990–2014, in consequence of my compiling for those years Section 1— "Printing and Bibliographical Studies"—of the ECCB: Eighteenth-Century Current Bibliography, until recently known as The Eighteenth Century: A Current Bibliography). It focuses on printed scholarship regarding Europe and the Americas, but many electronic publications have been included. Dissertations and book reviews are included. This bibliography was first posted on the WWW at Kevin Berland's C18-L website, but was moved in June 2003 to BibSite and repeatedly enriched. A 2015 revision corrected some errors and expanded it from 152 to 184 pages; revisions in February 2016 increased the list to 211 pages, particularly increasing the coverage of newspapers and periodicals in Dutch and Spanish. Now in early 2017 I have added fifteen pages in another update. Some studies touching on the periodical press, inadvertently not included here, will be found in my other bibliographies on BibSite, particularly those involving authorship, censorship, and publishing. For previous editions, I received additions and corrections from James E. Tierney, Mr. Harold Braem of Hildesheim (who provided titles from his “Historische Zeitungen: Privatarchiv der deutschsprachigen Presse des 17. –19. Jahrhunderts”), Marie Mercier-Faivre, Eric Francalanza, Rudj Gorian, and Charles A. Knight. Up until the mid 1990s, I was indebted to Diana Dixon’s annual bibliographies in a group of related serials: Journal of Newspaper and Periodical History (London, 1984–1994), Studies in Newspaper and Periodical History (Westport, CT: Greenwood, 1994–1997), Media History (1999–2002). -
