In 2011, the Foundation launched Project Team Up 4 Community (TU4C). TU4C engages and empowers youth athletes and others to initiate community service projects through its online challenges. The platform also provides them with an interactive set of resources to advocate and promote their social responsibility amongst their peers, family, schools, organizations, and communities. TU4C serves as a central hub and a launching pad to help develop new programs to meet athletes, organizations, and community needs.
Since the launch of Project Team Up 4 Community, the Foundation has recorded an estimated economic impact of over $12 Million Dollars Nationwide! On Long Island alone, there have been 105,628 Youth Athletes who have participated in over 1,995 Community Service Projects and have performed 406,242 Hours of Community Service Work.
Team Up 4 Community’s Online Challenges are making community service contagious!
Our goal this year is to raise money to advance the Team Up 4 Community online interactive platform and mobile application throughout Long Island, New York State Public High Schools and across North America within the Hockey Community.
Thanks to our youth athletes service more of our fellow Long Islanders in need have warm coats to wear, toys for their children at the holidays, food to place on the table and not too mention the incredible contributions they have made towards important medical issues. Together we can inspire more of our youth to partake in social responsibility and influence millions of dollars of community service through athletics.
With Team Up 4 Community, all athletes are invited to engage in community service and create a ripple effect of social responsibility by participating in the challenges and using this instrumental platform.
Your support from this Banquet lends a strong hand in aiding the Foundation to further the growth of these youth athletes’ community service projects and education; expanding the number of individuals and lives they can impact, as well as their own. More importantly, community service instills in them a personal responsibility to contribute to their own development and the community that supports them!
“Similar to athletics, volunteering helps build character and self-esteem in young people, while simultaneously helping make a difference in the lives of others,” -- Steve Webb Founder W20 Foundation & Project Team Up 4 Community is proud to support wellness and the

Adam Graves
One of the most popular figures to ever wear the Blueshirt was Adam Graves. Graves spent 10 years with the Rangers, setting a watermark in professional sports for excellence. He earned respect throughout the league for his goal-scoring ability, tough work in the corners and the slot and his tireless work off the ice for charity. Graves retired as a player in 2003 following a 17-year career, finishing with 329 goals and 287 assists for 616 points. The two-time Rangers’ MVP will always be best known for his achievements and contributions to the Rangers magical 1994 Stanley Cup team, helping break a 54-year championship drought. Graves set the Rangers’ single-season record for most goals in the 1993-94 season, tallying 52 goals to break Vic Hadfield’s 22-year mark of 50. His remarkable achievements during that storied season earned him an appearance in the NHL All-Star Game, and he was named as an NHL Second Team All-Star. However, Graves’ accomplishments on the ice were only matched by his contributions off the ice, as is evident by his numerous awards and accolades celebrating his work in the community. Five time recipient of the Steven McDonald Extra Effort; the team’s annual MVP twice; the coveted Players’ Player award from his teammates four times; the NHL’s prestigious King Clancy Memorial Award for humanitarian contributions in the community, and the NHL Player Foundation award to the player who “applies the core values of hockey – commitment, perseverance and teamwork – to enrich the lives of people in his community.” Information Credited to: NHL.com GravesGraves alsoalsalso wonwon thethe BillBill MastertonMastertoMastertonn TrTrophyroophyphy forfor perseverance, perseveranceperseverance, sportsmanshispsportsmanship, ortsmanship, aandnd ddedication.edication. Graves’ charitable side is legendary, and charity began at home, having grown up in Toronto in a family that took in 40 or so foster children. Graves is involved with Garden of Dreams Foundation partner programs such as the Skate with the Greats for Ronald McDonald House, Ice Hockey in Harlem, Make-A-Wish, SCO Family of Services, a Ottilie Residential Treatment Facility, and a foundation co-founded in 2012 by the Graves family in Canada called “Smilezone” – fun areas built in hospitals and children’s centers. His Toys for Tots marathons were legendary as was his work with Family Dynamics, Muscular Dystrophy Association, Dime Hometown Heroes and Big Brothers/Big Sisters.
“The greatest gift the game has given me is the people I’ve met along the way. And I would tell you that I love the game. If there’s one thing I love more than the game, it’s what it can do for the community and for kids. I mean that...”
