skill Project courtesy of 2 level Dow Chemical Company free Designed by Annabelle Keller SUPPLIES & TOOLS: • Styrofoam™ brand foam items: 1 1 12 each - 1 ⁄2", 2" and 2 ⁄2" balls 15 each - 1" balls 1 12"x1 ⁄4"x3/4" wreath • Metallic gold spray paint 3 • 1 ⁄4-oz Sport-weight : hunter green, cranberry red, cream - 2 skeins each • needles: cable, #10 • Goldtone • 1 Poster board • 18" Cloth-covered floral wire • Pencil • Ruler • • Low-temp glue gun & glue sticks • Craft glue

DIRECTIONS: 1. Spray paint all knitting needles metallic gold; let dry. 2. Trace foam wreath twice onto poster board. Cut out shapes and glue to front and back of foam wreath. 3. To make hanger, fold floral wire in half and wrap around wreath ring to form loop; twist ends to secure. 4. Wrap bands of yarn around poster board-covered foam wreath to completely cover. Secure yarn at beginning and end with craft glue; let dry. 5. To knit embellishment, cast on 20 sts. K16 rows red, K6 rows cream, K2 rows green, K6 rows cream, K40 rows red, K6 rows cream, K2 rows green, K6 rows cream, K16 rows red. Bind off. 6. Wrap all sizes of foam balls with the three different yarn colors. Glue yarn at beginning and end with craft glue to secure to foam ball. 7. Use glue gun to adhere yarn-covered foam balls to wreath. Pin knitted embellishment to yarn-covered balls on left side of wreath using crisscrossed #10 knitting needles. Crisscross cable knitting needles through a yarn ball knitter’s christmas wreath on opposite side of wreath. Pin goldtone stitch holder to a third yarn ball. Refer to photo for placement of all items.
