2. Officers in Group -A and Group -B at Ludhiana shall perform the duty work of Police Stations as detailed below:-

Kalan Cell No.4 3.The compliance relating to bail orders and matters of the Hon'ble High Court shall be dealt by the Duty Magistrate, from Group-A.

4. Ms. Kiran Jyoti Ld. PMJJB Ludhiana shall look after the work relating to Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015. During the period of casual leave/station leave of Ld. PMJJB, Ludhiana, the duty work relating under Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 shall be performed by the Ld. Duty Magistrate in Group-A.

5. In case any officer is unable to attend his/her duty-work, it shall be his/her own responsibility to make prior alternative arrangement with some other Judicial Officer.

6. In case all the officers at Samrala happens to be on leave, then their duty work shall be attended to by the Duty Magistrate, Khanna at Khanna and in case the officers at Khanna happens to be on leave, then their duty work shall be attended to by the Duty Magistrate, Samrala at Samrala. In case all the officers at Khanna and Samrala happen to be on leave, then their duty work shall be attended to by the Duty Magistrate, Payal at Payal. In case all the officers at Jagraon happen to be on leave, then their duty work shall be attended to by the Duty Magistrate, Ludhiana at Ludhiana. In case all the officers at Payal happens to be on leave, then their duty work shall be attended to by the Duty Magistrate, Khanna at Khanna.

7. If any Judicial Officer relinquishes his/her charge on transfer/promotion from this Sessions Division, his/her successor shall perform the duty work in his/her place.

8. In compliance of orders bearing no.1865/G dated 19.04.2021 passed by Ld. District & Sessions Judge, Ludhiana, the duty regarding remand work ( Police Remand and First Judicial Remand) of all the Police Stations Group-A shall be performed by Learned Duty Magistrate in Group-A before lunch session and the duty regarding remand work ( Police Remand and First Judicial Remand) of all the Police Stations Group-B shall be performed by Learned Duty Magistrate in Group-B after lunch session, in the room earmarked for the said purpose i.e. Room No.8-A at the first floor of the New Judicial Court Complex, Ludhiana.

9. Since it has been directed by Hon'ble Supreme Court in case titled as State of Karnataka vs Shivanna @ Tarkari Shavanna dated 25.04.2014 passed in Special Leave Petition (Crl) No.5073 of 2011, that statement of prosecutrix under section 164 of Cr.P.C in cases pertaining to sexual offences is to be recorded preferably by lady magistrate, therefore, on a holiday, statement under Section 164 Cr.PC, if any, of prosecutrix would be recorded by lady officer, whosoever happens to be on duty irrespective of her group in duty roaster. However, if both the duty magistrates are lady officers then the statement of aforesaid nature, if any, shall be recorded by the officer, whosoever happens to be looking after the duty work of police station which moves the application for getting the statement recorded.

10. Any request regarding change/adjustment of duty by any Magistrate be made only to the Ld. District & Sessions Judge, Ludhiana.
