SPOT LIGHT OF THE MONTH Heartfulness Covid Care Center Manapakkam, Chennai while the whole world is stuck in a dark dawn of pandemic, fighting and struggling to keep themselves and their loved ones safe from the dreadful corona virus infection, Sri Ram Chandra Mission has come forward to join hands with CIPACA to set up a 50 bedded COVID Care Centre in association with Heartfulness at Manapakkam, Chennai on 26th of May 2021 to manage the increasing corona cases at large, spreading like a wildfire in and around us. With our initiative, we intend to build hope and restore faith that together we shall overcome and win this war together. Anbarasan, Chepauk MLA Mr. Udhayanidhi Stalin, National Award Winning Actress - Ms. Keerthy Suresh and Film Director & Producer - Mr.N.Lingusamy were present at the inaugural ceremony along with Dr.Raja Amarnath, Managing Director, CIPACA and Mr. Satbir Bakshi, Co-ordinator of the Heartfulness Center, Chennai. Swami Vivekananda who practiced Meditation once said that 'a person who is not hungry cannot meditate since food is the God for him'. Likewise, during this pandemic time, medicines, treatment and service has become crucial to the people. Keeping the importance and need in mind, Heartfulness have dedicated a Hall for the treatment of the COVID patients. CIPACA, who is bringing enormous changes in Rural ICU Care at par with the standards of city ICUs, have done a great job in arranging the beds and other necessary provisions in Heartfulness’ COVID Care Centre.” Mr. N. Lingusamy, Movie Director and Producer “ When Heartfulness, an organization that is existing for almost 75 years in 130 countries, had approached us for opening a 50 beded COVID Care Centre for free accomodation and food, we could not have been more thankful and gratified. CIPACA runs ICUs in Rural and Taluk Level Hospitals of the country in 4-5 states with more than 300 beds. So, it was an honour when Heartfulness had approached us especially Mr. Satbir Bakshi and Mr. Lingusamy Sir to render quality care to the people. At this time we are promising to all of you that we will try to give our maximum effort to give the best care possible to the COVID Patients. We conducted an online workshop on How to build an ICU from scratch on the 23rd of May 2021. Doctors from across India and hospital owners of top –grade along with several corporate dignitaries and business professionals were invited to be a part of this event. This workshop shed light on why standardized ICUs are the need of the hour. Dr Raja Amarnath, Managing Director of CIPACA spoke about the sensitive topics related to ICU- it’s management, challenges, infrastructural and several other strategies. He emphasised the need of ICUs in every taluk of the country and how it can be made affordable and accessible at 1/4th of what is being charged in metropolitian cities.
