Radio 2 Pencil Kidnappers Holding My Prize Pencil for Ransom

Three weeks ago, I won my prized Radio 2 Sara Cox Show pencil (well, I lost the tie breaker) playing “Bunches of Fives”. Whilst acting as the Quizmaster at the Crown Inn’s last quiz it went missing. I searched high & low, asked everyone if they’d seen it, asked the Landlord & Landlady to keep an eye out for it. Sadly it was never found. Yesterday evening, I received an anonymous message with the photos shown alongside, showing how they were torturing my prized pencil and threatening to incinerate it. I don’t know who these monsters are, but I have agreed to pay the £100 ransom to get it back. I’m waiting for the arrangements to pay the ransom and get my prized possession back safely. If anyone who know who these people are let me know and I’ll hand that info to the police.

Thanks.

Message from Inspector Vicky Hebborn Firstly I would like to start by thanking you for taking the time to come to our introductory meeting in September. This was a really good opportunity not only for myself and our Beat Teams to get to meet you, but to also get a feel for the issues and concerns you have relevant to your own local parishes. For those of you that were unable to attend the meeting, information and actions will be distributed in due course. One of the consistent themes that was highlighted was the issue of road safety, predominantly speeding. If your area is not already part of the community speedwatch programme, please contact PC Lee Anderton for information on how you can join. We are also very fortunate to have two new members of our team as dedicated road casualty reduction officers, their role is to carry out proactive patrols targeting offending motorists with an emphasis on the Fatal Four offences; this will include multi-agency operations, targeted patrols and providing a high visibility response to local community problem hotspots. If you feel that your area would benefit from a targeted RCRT initiative, please contact Sergeant Dan Edwards on Operation Moonshot West. Message from your Engagement Officer I am PC Lee Anderton and I work as the Engagement Officer for West Norfolk. My responsibilities include working alongside and promoting the Special Constabulary, Police Support Volunteers, Neighbourhood Watch and Community Speedwatch. If you are interested in volunteering for any of these roles please e-mail me at: Lee.Anderton@norfolk. pnn.police.uk During September, I have been continuing to hold my drop-in surgeries in King’s Lynn Library, Jane’s Coffee Corner , Library, Village Hall and Central Café Feltwell, these are being well received so please do drop in sometime.

Northwold Neighbourhood Watch Scheme

Thank you to everyone who came to our inaugural meeting in the Village Hall on the 17th October. It was great to see thirty five members there. PC David Funnell spoke for half an hour and answered many questions. For organisation purposes the village has been divided into local, smaller Neighbourhood Watch Areas (of which there are currently ten) each of which has a volunteer, known as your Watch Keeper. Your Watch Keeper will be visiting those of you who have registered for the scheme (or may have done so already) to introduce themselves and discuss their role. If you have not registered for the scheme but would like to do so, please register online at www.ourwatch.org.uk , making sure you register for the Northwold Neighbourhood Watch scheme. For those of you who have registered on the paper forms, you may also register online and learn more about the scheme… and are encouraged to do this for ease of communication. The Northwold Neighbourhood Watch would like to thank the Village Hall committee for the use of the hall on this occasion. Ailene MacMulen ( NNW co-ordinator)
