Karlskrona is situated in the south eastern corner of by the . The city was founded in 1680 by the king Karl XI. It is characterized by its maritime history, which also has given the city its character with the ever-present sense of the archipelago and the various forms of naval activities. Karlskrona is considered even so unique that UNESCO has placed the city on the World Heritage List. It is a pleasure to be able to invite twelve 17-19 year old students to our unique city. We will take you around the world heritage sites by boat and by foot. There will be lots of fun both in and on the sea. The week in Sweden will be a combination of culture and nature. Aim of camp: Exploring the World Heritage City of Karlskrona and the surrounding archipelago. Teambuilding within the group through various games and playful activities in the archipelago.

Lodging: Private homes and one night in a cottage on an island in the archipelago of .

Costs: Journey to and from Karlskrona as well as insurance – to be paid by participant. The cost for the camp is sponsored by the organizing Rotary Club.

Program: Touring the World Heritage of Karlskrona by foot, bike, boat and car. Playful games in and outside the water. Teambuilding.

Insurance: The participant must be insured against illness, accident and third party damages according to Rotary International recommendations.

Applicants must be able to swim at least 200 metres.

Clothing: The applicants who are accepted will receive a list of clothing and equipment.

Arrival: 6 th of August, afternoon.
