COAST TO COAST WALK: Tom Abbott, eldest son of Beverley and Patrick Abbott, completed the 192-mile Coast to Coast walk along with his girlfriend Alison in 12 days to raise funds for Redlingfield’s St Andrews church. The walk between the Irish Sea at St Bees and the North Sea at Robin Hood’s Bay took in the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors. The money will go towards roof repairs and maintenance. So far more than £300 has been raised. A big thank you to all those who sponsored him in this challenge, and if there are any others who we did not get round to asking feel that they would like to donate after this epic walk to this worthy cause they can do so by dropping donations in at Beckendale, Redlingfield.
