Accept your offer:
Unless you have been offered and have accepted a place at another school, you should accept the place we have offered. Accepting the place will not affect the offer of a place at a higher preference school if a vacancy comes up later, or affect the outcome of an appeal. The school you have been offered will not be told about other schools you applied for. Please complete the outcome response on the London eadmissions website (https://www.eadmissions.org.uk) by 15 March 2021.
If you want to find out why your child was not offered a place at a higher preference:
• If the school is in the borough of Wandsworth, please see the information in ‘Why have I not been offered a place at…’ on page 2. If you need more information regarding faith school or specialist places, please contact the relevant school to ask why your application did not get enough priority under their admission criteria. Specific information about how places were allocated at each school can also be found at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/schools-and-admissions/admissions/school-admissions-statistics- and-reports/.
• If the school is not in the borough of Wandsworth, you should contact the school or the borough in which it is situated.
If you want information about waiting list positions:
• If the school is in the borough of Wandsworth, please visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/check-your- secondary-school-waiting-list-position/. You will need to enter your reference number which is included in your notification letter. If you do not have internet access, or have further queries, please contact Pupil Services by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 020 8871 7316.
• If the school is not in the borough of Wandsworth, you should contact the school or the borough in which it is situated.
If you wish to appeal against a decision not to offer your child a place:
• For Ashcroft Technology Academy, Burntwood School, Chestnut Grove Academy, Ernest Bevin College and Graveney School, please visit www.wandsworth.gov.uk/admissionappeals for an appeal form and further information on the appeals process. If you do not have internet access or have further queries please contact Wandsworth Education Appeals Service by email at [email protected] or by telephone on 020 8871 7554. Completed forms and any supporting documents must be received by the Appeals Service by 5 pm on 30 March 2020.
• For Ark Putney Academy, Bolingbroke Academy, Harris Academy Battersea and Saint Cecilia’s CE School, please download an appeal form from the school’s website or telephone the school’s Admissions Officer on the number provided on page 3 below.
• For any school not in the borough of Wandsworth, you should contact the school (for Academies and Foundation and Voluntary Aided schools, and) or the borough in which the school is situated (for Community schools) as soon as possible for information on how and when to appeal.
If you want to make late applications for different schools:
An Additional Preferences Form can be downloaded at www.wandsworth.gov.uk/apply-for-a-secondary- school-place/. You will still be offered a place at a higher preference if a vacancy becomes available. Making late applications will not affect the outcome of any appeals you may make.

…Ashcroft Technology Academy or Chestnut Grove Academy
• If your child applied for a specialist place, this will be because s/he did not get a good enough score in the school’s aptitude assessment to qualify for a place. Please contact the school if you need further information about specialist places.
• For all other applicants this will be because siblings and children living nearer to the school than your child filled all the places available in your child’s ability band. Your child’s ability band was based on his/her score in the Wandsworth Year 6 Test. Please note that children without a test score will not be placed into any ability band for Ashcroft Technology Academy and will only be offered a place if the waiting list of tested children is exhausted.
…Bolingbroke Academy
• Applications from siblings and the named feeder primary schools exceeded the number of places available at the academy.
• Applications from within your named feeder primary school exceeded the proportion of places available to that school and successful applicants live closer to the academy (measured in a straight line).
...Graveney School,
This will be for two reasons:
• Because children with a higher score than your child in the Wandsworth Year 6 Test filled all the available selective places; and
• Because eligible siblings and children living nearer to the school than your child filled all the available non-selective places.

…St Cecilia’s Church of England School
This will be because children who met the church attendance criteria more fully than your child did, and/or who live nearer to the school than your child, filled all the available places. Please contact the school if you need more information about the church attendance criteria.
