Currently, Mr Stamm's activities include performing as a soloist, touring with his quartet and New England Triptych ( 1957) William Schuman in duo with pianist . Her primary teachers have Michael Dicker, bassoon Joe Neisler, horn included William Montgomery, Max Schoenfeld, Diedre McGuire and George Pope. Dr. Risinger I I has received acclaim as both a soloist and ensemble musician. She is cmTently Principal Flutist with the Illinois Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. The recipient of numerous awards and Candide: Suite (1956) Leonard Bernstein grants, Dr. Ri singer was awarded first p1i ze in the 1996 Flute Society of Washington Young Artist Competition and was a pri ze winner in the Myrna Brown International Competition. Professor Dicker has performed as Principal Oboist with the Wichita Symphony Or­ I I chestra and the South Bend Symphony, the Toledo Symphony and the Gelsenkirchen Philharmonic Orchester in Germany. While a free-lance artist in New York I I City, he toured Europe with the Phoenix Woodwind Quintet on a Martha Baird Rockefeller Grant. Rhoades and George Silfies. Bassoonist Michael Dicker earned degrees from UCLA, Julliard and the University of Michigan. Marvin Stamm and Amy Gilreath, trumpets I I Hornist Joe Neisler received his BM, MM, and DMA degrees from Indiana University where he studied with Philip Farkas, Myron Bloom, Meir Rimon, and Michael Hatfield. Dr. Neisler is currently the horn clinician for Bands of Marvin Stamm, trumpet (b. 1921) I I America and jurist for the American Horn Competition. Dr. Gilreath is a member of the Board of Directors for the International Trumpet Guild. She has been a finalist Celebration (1992) Philip Sparke in the Ellsworth Smith International Trumpet Competition and has been an invited soloist at the (b. 1951) I I Interriational Trumpet Guild Convention and the 1997 International Women's' Brass Conference. Trombonist Stephen Parsons hold s a OMA from the University of Kansas, where he studied with Stephen Anderson. He has al so studi ed at the Tanglewood Institute with members of the Empire I Brass Quintet and with Milton Stevens of the National Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Pm-sons served as Trombone Soloist and Assistant Principal Trombonist with the United States Army Field Band in Washington D.C. and currently performs with the Faculty Brass Quintet, the Illinois Symphony Orchestra, Peoria Symphony Orchestra, Opera Ulinoi s, and the New Sousa Band. Dr. Parsons I remains active as a free-lance musician and is in demand as a clinician. Currently, he serves as trombone clinician at the Bands of America Summer Symposium. Sharon Huff, Tuba/Euphonium, earned her BME degree summa cum laude from Illinois State ·1 University and the MM and OMA degree from the University of Illinois. Serving for her seventh year as Conferences Coordinator for !TEA (formerly TUBA), Dr. Huff is also the President and Executive Director of the International Women's Brass Conference. In demand as a clinician, conductor, adjudicator, lecturer, and soloist, Dr. Huff has performed and conducted across the U.S. as well as in Finland, Au stralia, New Zealand, Italy, Germany, and Au stria. Percussionist David L. Collier received his BME from Florida State University and hi :S MM de­ gree from Indiana University and is currently pursuing a OMA at the University of Ulinois. Mr. Collier is Principal Timpanist with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the Ulinois Chamber Or­ I chestra. Mr. Collier is an adjudicator for Drum Corps international, Bands of America and is Per­ cussion Caption Consultant for Drum Corps Midwest. Mr. Collier is a Yamaha Performing AI1ist and a clinician for Sabian Cymbals, Latin Percussion and Innovative Percussion. He is also a member of the Percussive Arts Society Education Committee and the Latin Percussion Educational Advisory Board. I
