BADGES Each participant will receive a name badge upon registration. For security reasons all participants are requested to wear their badges during the Course. Entrance will not be permitted to those delegates not wearing their badge.

MEALS Lunches and coffee breaks are included in the registration fee.

INVITATION LETTER An official invitation letter will be sent to participants who may need it to obtain visa or funding etc. on individual request. Invitation letters do not constitute a commitment to provide any financial support for travelling and staying expenses. The letters will be sent by regular mail or via e-mail in pdf file.

TRAVEL INSURANCE The registration fee does not include provision of any insurance. Participants are advised to travel with valid personal travel and health insurance. REGISTRATION Registration is required for all participants. It is recommended to make the registration by using the enclosed Application Form. Confirmation will be sent to all participants by the Congress Organizer upon receipt of registration and payment.

ACCOMMODATION Reservations are made on a first come first served base. Reservation will only be made on receipt of one-night hotel deposit and should be sent in written form by using the Application Form.

Upon receipt of the booking form and one-night deposit, each participant will receive a confirmation in written form. Please note that any reservation payment or change of reservation should be sent directly to the Congress Organizer. The difference between the one-night deposit and the actual final cost of the stay together with the extras should be paid at the hotel upon departure. Check-in time is from 2 p.m. Check-out time is 10 a.m.

Cancellation Policy of Registration All the cancellations and changes of the hotel bookings must be sent to the Congress Organizer in written form. TRAVEL TO BUDAPEST There are several flight connections from all over the world. Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport is situated approx. 45 minutes from the City Center.

How to get from the Airport… All participants arriving at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport are advised to take the airport shuttle minibus to the hotels; this is the least expensive and most reliable service.

Reservations can be made in person at the Airport Shuttle Desk – located at every terminal. Fares: One-way ticket: HUF 3200 / person (approx. 10,6 Euro) Return ticket: HUF 5500 / person (approx. 18,2 Euro)

…by Taxi The official taxi company of Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport is the Fő Taxi which operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Budapest is divided in two zones: Buda and Pest. The taxi fee is a fix fee in each zone. The Venue and the recommended hotels are in Pest. Reservations can be made in person at the Fő Taxi Desk – located outside of each terminal.

Fares: From 1 September 2013 a new Taxi Decree was introduced in Hungary regulating the price* of the taxis at a fixed of 280 HUF/Km (0.95 EUR/Km) in addition to the one-off basic fee of 450 HUF (1.50 EUR) and waiting fee. A ride to the city center should typically cost around 6500 HUF (22 EUR) depending on traffic conditions.

REACHING THE VENUE The clinic is situated approx. 20 kms from Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport, it can be easily reached by public transportation from Budapest downtown and by car as well. Public transport in the city is well organized; however the reconstructions and the building of metro line 4 may cause some traffic jam in downtown. The venue can be reached by underground Nr. 3 (blue line). You should take off at Kalvin tér or Ferenc körút or use tram 4 or 6.

Public Transportation You can travel in the vehicles only with pre-purchased tickets or passes that you validate when starting your trip. Tickets are valid on the entire length of bus, tram, trolley bus lines, metro lines, the Millennium Underground and the cogwheel railway, but are only valid on suburban railway (HÉV) lines within the administrative boundary of Budapest.

SECURITY Hungary and Budapest are safe places. However, the usual security precautions should be observed. Beware of pickpockets, especially on public transport.

CLIMATE Because of Hungary’s continental climate the end of August, beginning of September is still summer weather in Hungary. The average temperature is 25-35 degrees centigrade, while 15-25 degrees centigrade during the night. Humidity is rather low, however rainy days may occur.

CURRENCY The official national currency is the (HUF), which is convertible. The exchange rates applied in Budapest , official exchange offices and hotels may vary. All the major credit cards (VISA, EC/MC, American Express, Diners) are accepted in Hungary in places displaying their emblems at the entrance. The current issued by the Hungarian National Bank 13 December is 1 Euro = 303 HUF. It changes on daily basis. CREDIT CARD All the major credit cards (Amex, Visa, EC/MC) are accepted in Hungary in places displaying the emblem at the entrance.

SHOPS Shops are open from 10:00 till 18:00 from Mondays to Fridays, but in the commercial centers they are open from 10:00 till 21:00 from Mondays to Saturdays and from 10:00 till 18:00 on Sundays.

TIPPING There are no hard rules for tipping in Hungary. If you are satisfied with the service a 10% tip is customary, particularly in a taxi, restaurant or café with table service.

ELECTRICITY The voltage in Hungary is 230 V, 50 Hz AC.
