SUMMER RECREATION PROGRAMS
Baseball Camp Coach Matthew McDonald and the Foley Lion staff and players are holding a fundamentals camp for kids age 7 - 14 years old at the Foley Sportsplex from 9:30 am - 12:00 pm, May 31st – June 2nd. The camp will focus on hitting, bunting, infield and outfield defense, base running, catching and pitching. There will be emphasis on teaching proper mechanics while at the same time creating a fun, player friendly, safe environment. The price for the camp is $100. Softball Camp DCB Elite Academy will be hosting a softball camp at the Foley Sportsplex August 1st – 2nd. Campers will receive: instruction from top level college coaches, DI Hall of Famers, current and / or former college, NPF & Team USA members; official camp t-shirt (1) per camper and lunch provided for all campers who register in 2 sessions per day. Foley High School Football Camp Lions Football Camp, led by the varsity coaching staff at Foley High School for youth entering K5 - 6th grade, will be June 19th – 21st from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm. Registration will start at 4:30 pm at Foley High School. Camp for youth entering grades 7th - 8th will be July 10th - 12th from 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm with registration starting at 4:30 pm at the Foley High School. The cost is $50 per camper. Foley Youth Football Foley Youth Football League registration begins in June. The cost for registration is $110 per player. Each child must supply two copies of his birth certificate. Age groups include 7/8, 9/10, and 11/12. Registration is at Mel Roberts Park Concessions Stand between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm on June 10th, June 17th, June 24th, July 8th and July 15th. Tennis A tennis clinic for ages 5 - 18 will be starting on Tuesday, June 6th and ending on June 22nd at the Mel Roberts/Cedar Street Park. The clinic will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays for 3 weeks. Classes will be limited to 8 per class. The cost is $35 per player. Please call 970-5020 to register.
Archery Camp Introductory to archery. Coach Hinson will hold a camp the week of July 10th – July 13th from 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm, for the beginner’s class and 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, for the experienced class. The cost is $30 per camper for ages 9 - 17. Classes will be limited to 8 per class. Please contact Christy Bledsoe at 970-5020 to register.
City of Foley Soccer Registration will begin on Wednesday, August 9th for the 2017 Fall Soccer Season. Soccer registration ends on Wednesday, August 23rd at 5:00 pm. Late fees will be added to costs for anyone registering after the 23rd.
Soccer Camps Foley Recreation and Foley High School will conduct a Soccer Camp at our Soccer Complex July 24- 28. Times and age groups will be 6 - 8 year olds from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm and ages 9-14 from 5:30 pm -8:00 pm. The cost is $35 per player for ages 6 - 8 and $50 per player for ages 9 - 14. Challenger Sports will hold a camp at our Soccer Complex June 5th – June 9th. Ages 3-5 years old will be from 5:30-7:00 pm and the cost will be $90. Ages 6-16 years old will be from 5:30-8:30 pm. The cost for that age group will be $130. The camp will focus on speed/agility, juggling, foot skills, passing/control, dribbling and shooting. Perdido Bay FC will be hosting a Soccer Camp on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 am to 10:00 am June 6th – August 8th at the Foley Sports Tourism Complex. The cost is $195. For more information and to register, go to www.perdidobayfc.com

Swim lessons will be offered throughout the summer at Max Griffin Pool beginning June 5th. Please call 943-7946 after May 29th between the hours of 12:00 pm and 6:00 pm for more information or to sign up for lessons. The cost is $30 per child and lessons last for two weeks. The last session of swim lessons will begin July 25th.
Swim team will begin Tuesday & Thursday nights starting May 30th for one weeks at 6:00 pm. Regular schedule begins Monday, June 5th. Sign-ups will be at the pool on the first day of practice. Swim team cost is $60 per swimmer and an additional purchase of a racing suit if competing in swim meets.
