I will represent TMRA2 as the Keynote speaker at the California ABATE Freedom Festival in Sacramento Saturday thru Monday, January 11-13, 2003. I participate in a workshop on Sunday, speak on the capitol steps on Monday, and go inside to speak with the legislators. On Sunday January 19, 2003, Mike Alvey and I will address riders in Arlington concerning HIPAA and the Failure To Yield Bill.

Following that of course is Legislative Day 2003. I hope to be able to report a large turnout and that several Warriors took the time to check out the new office. After that, it will be five months of capitol involvement.

As I have reported previously several states have adopted our slogan given to us by Brenda Shea "We each must do that which we can do to the best of our ability", along with our Mirror Test. The following poem was sent out to all the states by one of the Sons of Liberty Riders who goes by the handle Lou Bones. His message said (quite correctly) that this puts Sputnik's Mirror Test into perspective. This is for you "B":

I think Preacher summed it up well on his resume and the same goes for me. I have been here and done the best I could. I am seeking another term as TMRAII State Chairman. I will vote for anyone who is willing to put in the time, energy, and money to do a good job.

DISTRICT 31 ADVISOR

I have been a District Advisor for eight years. I have been involved in almost all aspects of the Rights Association. I have been a delegate to four (4) state conventions. I have served on both the platform and resolutions committees. I have served as precinct chair for the last four (4) years. I have attended every TMRAII Legislative Day.

I have worked hard for the members in District 31. I will continue to do so if I am re-elected as District 31 Advisor.

Keep safe and ride free.

#31 – Dean Maltsberger

December has bee a quiet month here because of the holidays. The big news in this part of the state is still the candidates signing on to run for the US House seat being vacated by Larry Combest. At last count, there were about ten (10) Republican candidates who had announced intent to run, and only a single Democrat. We will have to wait and see what happens when the filing deadline comes, and then sort out whom would be best for us. Thanks for all the hard work from all three chapters in District 31. Looks like we will have a good turnout for Legislative Day. Ride Safe.
