14:35 – 15:30 ITN core delivery and distinctive programme making for ITV News with Tim Singleton, Director of Newsgathering and Deputy News Editor, ITV News
Looking at how ITN is structured to enable producing news programmes for three separate terrestrial UK channels, plus associated websites, ensuring that each retains a unique identity, style and editorial approach plus more detailed presentation on ITV News

15:45 – 16:45 Tours of ITV newsroom and virtual reality studio and Channel 4 newsroom and studio
Participants are split in two groups, one focusing on technology and one on editorial matters, each led by ITN staff and with directors on hand in each studio to do a short briefing on the studios
16:45 – 17:45 Channel 4 News presentation with Managing Editor Ed Fraser; Media Manager Caz Rhodes and Digital editor Jon Laurence (tbc)
- Integration between TV, online, social media - Newsroom organization, planning - Production processes, workflows and workflow development - Technical architectures - Newsroom staff: composition, cross media functions, multiplatform journalism
17:45 – 18:05 Five News presentation with Deputy Editor Cait Fitzsimons
Overview of Five News production from separate newsroom & studio site, with connecitivity to ITN HQ
18:10 – 20:00 Optional visits to the ITV News gallery and Channel 4 News gallery whilst the bulletins are on air

09:30 – 11:00 Technical infrastructure, investment and changes and what it means in the newsroom and in the field with Bevan Gibson, Director of Technology, Steve Gore-Smith, Head of Field Operations and Lincoln Hooper, Media Manager, ITV News
- Including a key project for ITN in 2013-2014: how the process of changing from the old Avid system to the new Avid HD system was managed on a cross-company basis whilst ensuring that all bulletins could be produced daily 24/7. This affected both the ITV and Channel 4 newsrooms - Plus commissioning of dual capability SNG fleet (satellite & IP capable)

11:20 – 12:45 UK General Election special with Emma Hoskyns, Head of Special Events, Alex Chandler, Editor; Jon Roberts, Head of Studio Technology & Programme Director; Ian White, Head of Graphics Technology, Fiona Dodd, Head of News Syndication; Ali Ryan, Head of Studios
Using the General Election Overnight coverage and Special programmes as an example of:
- How ITN uses resources on a cross-company basis, producing multiple programmes and feeds for varied outlets, based on a core set of resources tailored to specific departmental needs, and looking at the huge logistical, technical and editorial challenges involved 12:45– 13:45 Lunch in Atrium

Looking at the differing strategies of both ITV and C4 websites; technical and editorial approaches
