A backup of your iPad includes your device settings, app data, Home screen and app organization, and texts, ringtones, your visual voicemail passcode, data, and HomeKit configurations. Photos and videos are only backed up if you don't already have iCloud Photo Library enabled on your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple and all other device manufacturers recommend backing up of your device regularly to ensure

The backup procedures mentioned in the upcoming slides may not backup the data/progress that you have on the applications i.e game levels, school on certain apps that do not save your work on the or do not have a Sign In option. Make sure that you have saved any such app data, progress (you can use Google Drive/OneDrive/DropBox etc to save/export/copy school work or files and Game Centre to save any game levels/progress) Nischint is not responsible for the loss of any of your other data stored on third party apps (Such as downloaded YouTube videos or game progress). Go to the Settings on the iPAD Backup using iCloud (2/4)

Click on the option that shows the iPAD user Name Apple ID/iCloud Optio. Clik o the iCloud Optio on the resulting side list Backup using iCloud (3/4)

Esure the toggle utto agaist iCloud Bakup optio is tured ON Gree , the lik o the Bak Up No optio. Your iCloud akup should start now. Backup using Google Drive(1/2)

Start your backup i. On your iPAD, install and open the Google Drive app from Apple App Store. ii. In the top left, tap Menu . iii. Tap “ettigs. i. Tap Bakup. . Tap “TA‘T BACKUP.

Backup using Google Drive(2/2) For Photos & Videos usig Google Photos i. Open the Google Photos app ii. Sign in to your Google Account. iii. At the top, tap Menu iv. Select Settings v. Tap the toggle utto for Bak up & s o or off. vi. On the next screen, select the resolution in which you want to back up the photos (High Quality recommended- allows unlimited storage) vii. If you see a pop up message in between the process asking to allow the app to aess our photos; lik o the Allo optio. If it doest pop up the dialog o the do the folloig a. Open the iOS settings app b. Tap Privacy c. Tap Photos. d. Turn on the toggle button Google Photos. Backup using One Drive

OneDrive is used to back-up a devices photos and videos. It can be done following these steps: i. On your iPAD, install and open the OneDrive app. ii. To start with, you need to sign-in to the Microsoft OeDrie/Hotail/Outlook app usig our redetials. If ou dot have an account, then you can create a new one by tapping on the sig up optio. iii. In order to perform backup to OneDrive from your phone, tap on the Options (three dots) located at the top right corner. iv. Tap o the Add Ites utto to akup files to OeDrie fro our phone. v. If you are adding specific data, then you need to provide permission to the OneDrive app. Just agree to the pop-up message by tapping o the Ok utto. No, rose the files ou ish to akup to OneDrive. vi. The back-up process will begin. Backup using Dropbox i. Download Dropbox from App Store and open the application on the iPad. ii. Sign in if you already have an account or create a new one. iii. Clik o I agree optio o the pop up dialog o to aept Dropo ters of serie & Clik o Create Aout optio. iv. It will prompt you an option to upload photos, here click on the Choose Photos optio >>A pop to allo dropbox to aess photos ill appear, lik o OK utto. v. “elet all the photos ad lik o the Net optio vi. Select a location where you would want to upload photos to. Click on Upload thereafter. Tur OFF the Fid My iPad optio (to be done after taking Back up) Tur OFF Fid My iPad optio – (1/4)

3 – Clik o the iCloud optio

4 – Clik o the Fid M iPad option Tur OFF Fid My iPad optio – (3/4)

5 – Click on the Green coloured toggle button for Fid M iPad optio

6 – You will be asked to enter your Apple ID/iTunes account password. Enter the same ad press Tur Off Tur OFF Fid My iPad optio – (4/4)

7- The small black screen indicates that the Fid M iPad optio is suessfull Turned OFF

NOTE : Turig Off the Fid M iPad optio is ol i a prerequisite to install Nischint on your device. Once installed, ou a tur o the Fid M iPad optio Checklist before sending iPad Checklist

NOTE : Please do not try to restore your iCloud backup through the traditional method by clicking on the ‘eset option from the Geeral option in the Settings of the iPAD. This procedure is STRICTLY not recommended. Restoring from iCloud Backup (1/3)

Go to Settings on the iPAD, lik o “ig i to our iPad, this should prompt Apple ID & Password. After entering the redetials, tap the “ig I optio Restoring from iCloud Backup (2/3)

Signing in to iCloud and if prompted a pop to merge Local Data, select a preferred option. Restoring from iCloud Backup (3/3)

Once signed in, Basic iCloud backed up data such as Photos & Videos shall automatically start getting restored. Any other apps having data/files linked to the Apple ID/iCloud ID shall also automatically be restored. Restore your Photos

Go to Settings on the iPAD. Fid the optio Photos or Photos & Camera ad lik o it. O the resultig side list, esure that iCloud Photo Library toggle utto is ON Gree color) and the option elo it that sas Download and Keep Originals is tiked. Oe doe, please restart the deie, ad allow some time in order for the photos and videos to be downloaded from the iCloud. Restoring your Applications – for iOS 10 users (1/2)

Go to App “tore o the iPAD, Clik o the Purhased optio fro the otto of the screen. This should should show you a list of all the applications that were installed earlier on the device. Restoring your Applications – for iOS 10 users (2/2)

Simply click on the 'cloud' icon against any/all applications that you wish to install and the installation will begin automatically. Restoring your Applications – for iOS 11 users (1/2)

Go to App “tore o the iPad, lik o the lue-white human icon displayed in the top right orer of the sree. This should pop up the Account page. Clik o Purchased optio. Restoring your Applications – for iOS 11 users (2/2)

You should now see a list of all the applications that were installed earlier on the device. Simply click on the 'cloud' icon against any/all applications that you wish to install. Recovering your in-app data

• Any app related to Google (i.e drive, sheets, docs, etc) requires you to sign in with the respective backed up Google Drive account credentials and your data shall be automatically restored • Other important applications such as Edmodo, Seesaw, Mathletics etc usually have a 'sign-in' option. Again you can enter the login credentials for those particular apps and data/progress for the same shall be restored. • For apps that do not have a “ig-I option (e.g. Notability) you can simply import any data you had earlier from google drive, Dropbox, one drive etc if you had copied the files to any of the cloud backup methods • Photos are backed up on iCloud can be retrieved (Given that you had previously allowed Photos to get backed up on iCloud) back once you have signed in to the Apple ID/iCloud feature in the iPAD settings. Allow some time for the Photos to be downloaded from the internet. If its on google photos, please download the ap and login. • Apps like iMovie and other Apple specific applications usually retrieve their data back once you have logged in the Apple ID/iCloud option on the device. If you do not find iMovie available on the iPad, you can download it from App Store.

NOTE : iMovie will only restore its files only if it was allowed to backup on iCloud, hence please make sure that you are enabling Upload to iCloud option under iMoie from the Settings of the device. Sometimes it may not backup iMovie data to iCloud due to lack of storage. Nischint Support
