Day 3 Preview: Jeremy Chardy and are featured on day three as the second round begins at the Konzum Croatia Open Umag. The No. 3 seed Chardy kicks off play on Centre Court in a first-time meeting with Serbian qualifier Nikola Cacic. On Monday, the 25-year-old Serb defeated Aljaz Bedene 57 64 64 in two hours and 27 minutes for his first career tour-level. The 29-year-old Chardy is making his tournament debut.

Following the No. 4 seed Fognini faces Renzo Olivo of Argentina for the first time. The 29-year-old Italian is playing here for the ninth consecutive year and has a 15-8 tournament record. His best result was finals in 2013 (l. to Robredo). Last week the 24-year-old Olivo reached his first career ATP World Tour semi-final at Hamburg (l. to Cuevas).
