Many people in Salford want to feel better about life starting with their health and wellbeing, but there can often be too many things to change at once.

Our Being Well Coaches will work with you one-to- one or in a group and will help you decide what’s most important for you to tackle - cutting back on smoking and drinking, changing what you eat, being more active, meeting other people, or all these things! You will decide what changes to make – and then find out what can make them stick. Being Well Salford helps you to take more control and create solutions for your daily life.

Our coaches are trained in behaviour change and will help you to learn different techniques and tools that you can take away with you to help keep you motivated. You decide, with your coach, if you want to meet them one to one, take part in groups and activities or a combination of both. Our coaches can also help you find other people, activities and services that can support and motivate you along the way.

You can see a coach for up to 12 months but the tools and techniques you learn will stay with you forever helping you on your way to wellbeing. How can I find out more or access the service? If you live in Salford, or are registered with a GP in Salford, you can refer yourself to this free service. Or ask your doctor, nurse, mental health worker, employment or housing service to refer you. Once we receive your referral form we’ll get in touch to arrange a time to meet with you for your first appointment.
