Why should you vote Republican? 1. Maintain our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Those who lawfully keep and bear arms are not the criminals; Democrats fight for gun control for lawful citizens instead of trying to incarcerate the criminals that commit the crimes. 2. Maintain control of the Supreme Court. We must maintain the Senate and Presidency to appoint conservative Judges who will interpret the laws instead of trying to Legislate them. 3. Maintain our Religious Freedom. America was and is a nation built on Christian NOT Socialist principles. 4. Lower Taxes. President Trump has cut corporate and individual income tax rates and doubled the standard deduction. 5. Fewer Regulations for small businesses and farms. 6. Economic Growth &Prosperity. Free enterprise and the encouragement of individual initiative & incentive gave this nation an economic system second to none. Unemployment is the lowest it has been in half a century. 7. Civil unrest. Our country cannot be ruled by the Mob mentality. We must communicate and be accepting of varying points of view without violence. 8. Lower spending. Sound money management is our goal. Democrats want to give everything away for free.

Republicans value and want to preserve our national strength and pride in America. Let’s continue to help President Trump Make America Great Again together! VOTE REPUBLICAN

It is critical that we go to the polls and vote Republican. Only then will we be able to preserve our way of life.

Gilchrist. The young Indians – ages 7 and 8 – got a STAND 60-yard touchdown continued from Page 1A run from offensive MVP Darby Grant in the first half to take a 6-0 lead. The second half was a defensive stand- still until Gilchrist began to assemble a last-min- ute drive, starting from its own 45-yard-line. Led by defensive MVP Ethan Woeller, the In- dians bended but didn’t break, as the Lightning were stymied at the Chiefland 9-yard-line as time expired. Coach T.J. Phillips complimented offensive standout Emarious Carter for being a decoy in the first half. “I think that season gave me more gray hairs than I had when it started, i swear it did,” Phillips said afterward. “They are really hard Photos by SEAN ARNOLD/Citizen working. It’s good competition.” Phillips praised his team and their families’ support for the season. “Offensive line, you did your job; defensive you did your job; parents you did your job,” Phillips said. “This is a community trophy, and I want everyone to know that.” 12U Indians finish runner-up Some of the young Chiefland Indians that on this year’s 12U Tri-County Football squad squad were a part of at least four championship-win- ning youth teams. Their fortunes finally came up short against Branford in the 12U champion- ship game Oct. 27, but not before a last-minute rally by the Indians. Branford built a 22-6 lead and fended off that late burst by Chiefland to prevail 22-12 at CMHS. The Buccaneers made it 22-6 midway through the fourth quarter, then intercepted a Chiefland pass on the ensuing play from scrim- mage. But Chiefland recovered a fumble a few plays later and connected for an 80-yard score on a pass from Jonathon Adams to Ja’Marion White to cut the lead to 22-12. Adams caught a 34-yard pass with 0:25 remaining to give Chiefland another scoring threat in the waning seconds. Omarion Nesby had an interception for Chief- land and Marcus Chever rushed for a 16-yard Indian touchdown. The 12U Indians are participating in the Elite 8 Nationals in Daytona in November.
