Students are notified of their admission decisions by January 15 and, if admitted, receive priority consideration for merit scholarships, housing, and orientation. The Theatre School and School of Music operate under different deadlines: Music candidates must submit their applications by December 1 and Theatre candidates by January 15 and are notified by April 1. The postmark deadline for Regular Notification is February 1. Students are notified of their admission decisions by March 15. Applications submitted after February 1 are considered on a space-available basis. • DePaul University is “test-optional” for students who apply as freshmen for the fall term of 2013. In adopting a test-optional approach, DePaul seeks to further enhance our student-centered admission process. • DePaul University has responded to the economic, social and educational needs of the communities it serves by creating and developing innovative programs.
