As we approach the 2017 Partners in Charity Appeal, I would like to thank all of you who made a sacrificial gift to the 2016 Appeal. It is with sincere gratitude and appreciation that I acknowledge your continued generosity. Thanks to the generous support of the people of the Diocese of Worcester, and the leadership of pastors and parish chair- people, we surpassed our $5 million goal for pastoral, educa- tional and charitable ministries raising $5,044,850. May God bless each of our donors as together we offer the face of God’s mercy to our brothers and sisters in need. The 2016 report is available online at partners-charity.net. Partners in Charity, formerly known to our founding donors as the Bishop’s Fund, is the diocesan appeal that sustains the educational, social and charitable ministries of our Partners Catholic faith community. in Thanks to the gifts from more Charity than 18,000 families and individuals, we are able to meet the financial needs of our ministries in 2016. A special thank you to the 80 St. Paul Society members who contributed $428,594, and the 43 Holy Family Society members who donated $539,130. These two societies collectively gave $967,724. We are also grateful to the 150 priests who contributed $238,969 (97 gave $1,000 or more). We welcomed 818 new appeal donors in 2016, this group collectively gave $122,766.
