Pollock, ARI; and Domingo Santana, HOU).

CLOSING TIME: LHP Zach Britton has converted a career-high 19 consecutive opportunities (since May 3), going 1-0 with a 1.65 ERA (27.1IP, 5ER) in that span…Britton currently ranks tied for sixth in the majors in save percentage (min. 20 save opportunities) with a 95.8% success rate…He is tied for third in the AL and tied for eighth in the majors with 23 saves and has held opponents to a .216 average this season.

QUALITY CONTROL: LHP Wei-Yin Chen ranks first among Orioles and is tied for eighth in the AL with 12 Quality Starts…He has logged an Orioles season-high five consecutive Quality Starts (since June 15), going 2-1 with a 1.95 ERA (37.0IP, 8ER) and holding opponents to a .203 batting average in that span.

100th START: LHP Wei-Yin Chen made the 100th start of his MLB career, June 26 vs. Cleveland, becoming the second Taiwanese-born to accomplish the feat (also, Chien-Ming Wang; 126)…Chen also became the ninth Orioles left-handed starting pitcher to log 100 career starts in club history.

GOING GONZO: RHP Miguel Gonzalez struck a career-high 10 batters against the Yankees on April 14, the most by an Orioles starting pitcher this season.

SPRING TRAINING WRAP: The Orioles finished the Grapefruit League season with a 12-19-2 record, posting a 4.19 ERA in 290.0IP and batting .259/.309/.410, scoring 152 runs in 33 games…The Birds set a new per-game attendance mark at Ed Smith Stadium, drawing 112,258 fans for 15 home games, an average of 7,484 per game.

OPENING DAY RECAP: The Orioles improved to 5-2 against the on , after their 6-2 victory on April 6 at ...The Orioles hit three home runs, one shy of the Orioles (since 1954) record on Opening Day (4, 2006 and 1982) with blasts from Alejandro De Aza, Steve Pearce, and Ryan Flaherty...The Orioles also had three homers on Opening Day in 2010, 1973 and 1964 and did it in 1930 as the St. Louis Browns...Their last five multi-homer games on Opening Day have come against Tampa Bay (2015, 2013, 2010, 2006, 1999)…The Orioles won on Opening Day for the fifth straight season...The only longer such streaks in franchise history are six straight from 2001-06, seven straight from 1970-76 and nine straight from 1937-45 (as St. Louis Browns)...They are 40-22 all-time on Opening Day.

RARE WIN: On June 9, the Orioles beat the Red Sox, 1-0, and neither team recorded an RBI…Prior to June 9, the last time that occurred was April 9, 1976 (Opening Day) in which Orioles 1B scored on a throwing error by Red Sox CF Fred Lynn following a single by Baltimore 2B .

MAY I HELP YOU?: In the second inning of their game on June 10 against Boston, the Orioles registered two consecutive outfield assists from Adam Jones and Travis Snider…According to STATS, LLC., it was the first time an MLB team did so on back-to-back plays in a single inning since the on May 10 at Washington (eighth inning)…Also, per STATS, LLC., it was the first time the Orioles accomplished the feat since July 18, 2009 in the fifth inning at the ( and Nolan Reimold).

POWER BATS: The Orioles scored a season-high tying six runs in an inning for the fourth time this season during the first inning of their June 16 game against the Phillies...Baltimore also set a club record (since 1954) with eight home runs in that same game, scoring a season-high 19 runs in that game, the most since the O’s scored 23 runs on September 28, 2000 vs. Toronto…The Orioles are the first Major League team to hit eight or more home runs in a game since the Red Sox hit eight, September 4, 2013 vs. Detroit.

HISTORIC HOMESTAND: Per STATS, LLC., the Orioles finished their eight-game homestand from June 9-16 with a 7-1 record (.875 winning percentage), their best mark during a homestand of at least eight games since also going 7-1 during an eight-game homestand, July 4-11, 1977.

A GRAND ENTRANCE: After entering the game on June 24 at Boston, RHP Mychal Givens became the sixth Oriole to make his Major League debut this season and the 999th player to appear in a game for the Orioles since the team moved to Baltimore in 1954…RHP Jason Garcia, 2B Rey Navarro, RHP Mike Wright, RHP Tyler Wilson, and RHP Oliver Drake also made their Major League debuts this season.

5,000th WIN: With their win in the first game of a doubleheader on June 28 against Cleveland, the Orioles recorded their 5,000th regular season victory in club history.

WALK-OFF WINNERS: The Orioles have posted three walk-off wins this season with two coming via a walk-off home run…Jonathan Schoop hit a walk- off home run (first career) on July 10 vs. Washington, J.J. Hardy delivered a walk-off single against Tampa Bay on May 29, and David Lough slugged his first career walk-off homer against Boston on April 25.
