Although final numbers have not been tabulated by the Alberta Spay Neuter Task Force, the group with the help of local governments, businesses and many volunteers, including professionals involved in veterinary medicine and animal care, held another successful spay and neuter clinic in Wabasca-Desmarais. Besides spaying and neutering dogs and cats for free, the clinic also pro- vided other services such as vaccinating and treating an- imals for parasites such as worms and fleas. The Task Force, headquartered in Calgary, provides clinics to help communities with pet and stray population problems. Photos by Denis Carnochan
