This school tour, designed specifically for ASL students and users, will include the best sights of : the , , Versailles, Notre Dame. In addition we will have deaf- oriented sights: the famous St. Jacques deaf school, the International Visual Theatre, and learn French sign language in a workshop as well as interactions with local deaf people.

MARCH 4 • • • Departs overnight to Paris.

MARCH 5 • • • Arrive in Paris by morning. Grab snacks/drinks and hop in a private coach bus. Head to Rouen for a quick lunch as well as visit the famous cathedral and site of Joan of Arc. Then to Caen to visit the fascinating WWII memorial museum.for 3+ hours to Bayeux and check in hotel. Sleep in Bayeux for 3 nights.

MARCH 6 • • • A whole day visiting some famous D-Day sights: Arromanches, American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, Pointe du Hoc, and German Cemetery.

MARCH 7 • • • Another whole day trip to the awe-inspiring site of Mount-St-Michel.

MARCH 8 • • • Early morning drive back to Paris and check in hotel. Head to district and view the city atop Sacre Coeur. Stay in Paris for 6 nights.

MARCH 9 • • • Get ready to open your eyes upon Sainte Chapelle on Ile de la Cité. Head over to view the Notre Dame Cathedral. Take a lunch break inside the Latin Quarters. Visit the International Visual Theatre and participate in sign language and cultural workshop.

MARCH 10 • • • A whole day trip to huge Versailles where the Sun King Louis XIV reigned supreme and subsequently caused the . Optional: biking, boating, tram and ’s cottages.

MARCH 11 • • • Dare to enter the Catacombes and get spooked underground! Have a take-away lunch on the grounds of the Luxembourg Gardens. Head to the St. Jacques, the world’s first deaf school where Laurent Clerc spent his formative years under the tutelage of Abbe Sicard as well as the founder Abbe de l’Epee.

Go up the mighty Arc d’ Triomphe for another panorama view of the city. Leisurely walkabout through the famed Champs-Élysées Avenue with sights on the way like , Vendôme, Opera, , Pompidou and Hotel de Ville. By sundown, go up atop the Eiffel Tower!

MARCH 13 • • • Spend all day exploring the Louvre museum and surrounding sights: Joan of Arc statue, l’Epee’s cenotaph at St. Roch, Garden, Palais Royal, Lafayette Galleries, etc. Take a peek inside ’s Tomb at and its military museum. Hop on late evening cruise on River to bid ‘adieu’ to France!

MARCH 14 • • • Transfer to airport for your flight back to United States.
